Comments: The creed is throwing me off. I found a guide to vintage Coach creeds, and when I zoom in on this one, the wording and spacing make it seem like it should be from the 70's or 80's ("made in the United States" printed under the creed, the spacing of the words, etc.). However, the serial number format, and the fact that it includes the style number make it seem like it should be from 1994 or after. Would appreciate any expertise on this one!

While Coach added the "coded" serial numbers in 1994 that included the year codes and style numbers, they DIDN'T immediately update the words of the creed in every plant at the same time. The C plant, this one, didn't get the creed stamp with the new wording until some time in 1995. A few other plants got theirs even later. This is mentioned in the Salearea Guides posted here at tPF, the one on Creed stamps in particular:
"Starting in 1994, the creed and serial number formats went through a major change. The country of manufacture was now stated in the second sentence of the creed, although the change was stretched out over about 18 months so some older or smaller plants would still be using the old format with the plant location at the bottom of the creed statement until some time in 1996..."

You should read the Guides if you haven't done so already.

You can ONLY compare details of serial numbers and creed stamps with another bag made in exactly the same plant, month and year and with exactly the same style number. And of course, only if you're absolutely sure that the bag you're using for comparison is genuine.

The important thing is that the details and especially the fonts used in the stampings are exactly what they should be for that plant, month, year and style. And in this one, they are, it's a genuine Court Bag from 1995 made in the C plant, and other March 1995 C plant bags with the same 3-digit serial number prefix C5C- and the same style number 9870 would probably have the same creed wording. There can be exceptions but this isn't one of them.

BTW, if a listing that you're asking about is still active and "clickable" there's no need to re-post all the photos. If for some reason we can't see the photos or if they're from a site like Mercari that causes problems with some browsers or apps, or are posted on a Private site that only allows registered members to see them, we can always ask you to download and post them. But it they're visible to the public there's no need to spend your time copying them just to re-post.
