I wanted to verify with someone more knowledgeable than I before I posted. Thank you so much!
Don't post the same request twice. If you feel your request got passed over, just quote the original post. It is confusing and we might waste time authenticating things again. Remember we are volunteers who have lives away from the forum.
They are all authentic. #3 was called a Tribeca flap, #4 was called an Andrea bucket.

Hello,
Would you please authenticate this bag? Thank you.
Item: Basic Bag
Listing Number: N/A
Seller: Poshmark Coolchicdiver
Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-Vintage-Leather-Shoulder-Bag-5e128ae09ed36dc7ee038a72
Comments: Is the statement under the registration number - 'Coach registration number' supposed to be there?

It's authentic. The registration number statement is correct and dates the bag to the 1970s.

Thank you. I am looking for an older bag. Most of my bags are from the '90s. It would be interesting to see how a bag from the seventies feels. Rehabbing a bag that old would also be interesting.
My research leads me to believe that type of glued in creed number was used between 1978-1983.

Thanks for narrowing it down. I've relied on the SacsMagnifique guide which is a bit ambiguous. I'll update my notes.
Some of us did some research awhile back. I don't trust Sacsmagnifique on all her dates. She got a lot of that from Jed, who should know, but I don't think he is as passionate about it as we are. I've had several bags with the registration number that also came with paperwork that dated the bag to the early 80s. I've never had one that had paperwork from the 70s. The funny thing is that when they had that on the creeds, they hadn't yet applied for a copyright. Probably at some point in the early 80s a lawyer told them to stop using that on the creed.

Even more interesting bit of Coach history, thank you!

Several requests:

In future, please do not include more then 2 items in one post. Sometimes the authenticators here just don't have the chance to do more than one or two authentication requests at a time. And there have been far too many times in the past when photos of different styles have been mixed up and none of us enjoy trying to sort out those kinds of problems. The forum software has a mind of its own. It deosn't help when they're all the same color either. When the colors of the bags are all the same, a separate post for each one is preferred.

Also we need to be able to enlarge the photos of the creeds and serial numbers. I would much rather either have a larger photo or an enlargable thumbnail since those particular items often have details that we really need to be able to see and read clearly down to the last detail. I'm 71 years old and my eyes don't work as well as I would like, probably because of almost 15 years of trying to see small details in photos. The back of the turnlock plate where the prongs are is also a detail that we need to see clearly. Other than that your photos are good.

Requests for names or identification of bags that don't have style numbers included in the serial number, which means any serial number from before 1994 that doesn't include any letters of the alphabet, must include the bag's measurements. There are too any similar styles in classic and vintage Coaches, we need to be able to narrow it down.

All genuine, The last two are a Tribeca Flap and an Andrea Bucket

View attachment 4635517 View attachment 4635518 I need help again!! I got another bag delivered today and again I cannot verify it online..can some one help?

PLEASE, don't buy any more "Coaches" without authenticating them here BEFORE you buy. There's nothing about that bag that's even close to a genuine Coach.

It;s also a good idea to keep your authentication requests to one forum. While most of the posters over at the Ebay Fashion discussion board are qualified to authenticate Coach, there's no vetting process there at all and any Ebay member is free to post their opinions, some of which can be wrong in a really big way. Ebay's forum is actually managed by a company called "Lithium" that restricts how much and what kind of information can be included in a reply and they have been known to remove posts and even suspend posters when an item listed in an Ebay auction is identified as fake. Just for the record, Lithium is also the same company that runs Comcast / Xfinity's onsite forums, and have been responsible for removing dozens or maybe a hundred or more posts about subjects that Comcast doesn't want seen or discussed, such as the recent deluge of complaints about Turner Classic Movies being moved to an extra-cost low-interest sports channel group that has absolutely no connection to classic movies and has been rightly called a "money grab" by the posters affected, many of whom are older and retired customers who enjoy classic movies over some of the dreck that's currently on cable these days (yes, I'm one of them and my post was removed too). Lithium's methods are NOT customer-friendly or even truth-friendly. JMO.

Also, rumor has it that some of the same people who post here at tPF also post at Ebay, so you have the same depth of experience here if not more, and can depend on getting a correct answer without any forum censorship.

To whateve and catbird9 - thanks for the history lesson. So much knowledge. I am always impressed.
