Hi! First post! I received some Coach purses when my MIL cleaned out her closet. She may have a mix of authentic, factory outlet, and fakes based on her shopping habits and some wealthy gift givers in the past. I’m particularly curious about this one. It seems authentic to me but there’s no creed. It’s small... about 8 inches long. (Edited to add: sorry about the blur on the tag photo. It says Made in China and is not blurry in real life lol). Thoughts? Thank you!

I just want to be sure because it's hard to tell from the photos, but it's the same Patchwork on the back as on the front, correct?

Thanks for the correction,I just googled the style number and saw other listing as bowler. Some one started the wrong name and then been copied again and again. I learn something new every time by just lurking at the discussions here.

That's exactly what happens, one person makes a mistake and dozens more copy it. Or a seller takes a bunch of different style names and strings 4 or 5 or 6 together so the listing comes up in a lot more Ebay searches than if they had just used one correct name. Way too many seller have NO idea of the name, age or any other accurate information about what they're selling.

Comments: I have never seen a white bag look SO good. No verdegris anywhere and the hardware looks right. Was the Emmy made in white? I'm afraid it's too good to be true. For $10 I'm willing to take a gamble, but I was wondering what you experts thought. Many thanks!

It looks good to me. The Emmie Flap #9018 was made in white:
I agree it's authentic. I used to own this exact purse. My theory is that small bags stay pristine because they don't get used as much as larger bags.

Yes, exactly. Exceptions: the bottom middle patch on one side has grommets and leather stitches on two sides but none on that square on the back. And no leather Cs on the middle left suede patch.

I believe it's genuine although I don't have a photo of the exact style in my files. It looks like either a Pouch or a Top Handle from the 2007 Fall Patchwork collection. The smaller bags such as those 2 styles usually don't have creeds or serial numbers, but Patchwork styles will almost always have basically the same patches on both sides. On that particular line and a few others there were small differences just like you describe between a few of the front and and back patches. Coach did one or two full Patchwork lines almost every year during that decade plus additional items for the Factory Outlet stores so trying to ID and date the different styles can drive you nuts! :whut:

It looks like the style number is 40914, but I can't find any consistent name that sounds correct. This listing shows what seems to be the same Top Handle Pouch with the slight differences in the front and back patches that was already mentioned, and 2007 is the year it was made:

Ok after looking for several weeks and drooling over the Plaza I just bought this bag.

Please authenticators tell me it's authentic . Looks like it won't need rehab as it looks to be in really good shape. ( have another bid out under $50 on a rehabable one ;) .

Thank you in advance.
It's authentic. If you search the thread, you will see that this seller isn't recommended as she mixes in fakes with authentic.
