Good morning. This is the first COACH bag I have ever found at the thrift. Can someone please help tell me if it isn’t real? It feels like very nice quality. But what is throwing me off is the older creed not saying made in USA and the zipper? Again, total purse rookie so forgive my ignorance. Also if it is real, can you tell me the style name and approx age? I read that creed is from the late 60s to early 70s, but to me it looks more of an 80s or 90s style bag. Thanks so much.

Bag width 10.75”
Bag height 7.5”
Bag depth 5”

Creed patch height 2.25”
Creed patch width 2.75”

Good morning. Would you please let me know whether the following is authentic:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Vintage-Satchel-Crossbody-Purse-C7U-9927/274081125026
Seller : kahuluibob

I bought this bag without having you ******************, thinking that fakers wouldn’t choose Hungary as the origin of a Coach bag. I hope I am not mistaken.

It could be okay but there's no picture of the creed in the listing. We really need to see it.

I am sure that there was a photo of the creed in the listing. Maybe it disappeared. Or perhaps I am delusional.
Thank you, BeenBurned, in any event.
LOL! This is the only picture that MIGHT show the creed. I'll be damned if I can see anything!

Hello authenticators! I hope everyone is having a great start to the week
I understand these smaller items are harder to authenticate, but I wanted to check this little guy that I found at Savers yesterday (50% off for Veterans' Day made it a whopping $0.75, woohoo). Thanks in advance!

Item Details:
Card case/pouch
Seller: Thrift store
Measurements: 5" x 3"
Additional comments: If it is authentic, do you know the age and whether it originally had a ring attached to the zipper-pull chain? That chain appears incomplete and also kind of discolored, so I'm not sure if it was a replacement?

P.S. It was reallllly gross looking with residue on the inside - likely from grubby fingers and cash, so I already washed it and it is still drying out - which is the reason for the white dusty particles from towels and "stretchy" look. But I'm dying to know if it's legit, so please see photos and let me know what you think! Also :annoying: is that Savers uses clips on their accessories so I'm happy most of the clip dents came out in the wash!

It looks good. I can't find a style number. It probably had a keyring attached. It could be 80s or 90s. I hate those clips Savers uses!
I also found one of those mini skinny cases at Savers a couple of weeks ago! It did have a keyring originally.

I think the reason we both got them so inexpensively is because they didn't know the item was made by Coach. The only imprint is inside the open pocket and I'm betting they didn't see it!

I'm sorry, it's fake.

I think I'm also seeing "wrinXles" and "marXings" on the creed.

:flowers: Thank you! With the clips, wouldn't it just be easier to just throw them in shallow baskets/bins rather than wasting time hanging (possibly ruining) them with those clips? Half the time the bigger purses fall off because they're too heavy for the clip and it just ends up a floor full of purses!

Thanks - and agreed about the cheap price! I probably wouldn't have noticed it but felt the leather and luckily decided to check it! But I love when they miss things like that because they definitely overprice the brand names at Savers! :P

It also has almost all the signs of a Korean-made fake (creed misspellings, incorrect punctuation like missing periods and periods where there should be commas, zipper pulls that say "COACH" and shouldn't, etc) except for the Made In Korea that's usually stamped at the bottom of the creed along with an invalid 5 or 6 number serial number. Coach has never made handbags in Korea.

BTW, you said "I read that creed is from the late 60s to early 70s,...". I don't know where you read that but it's wrong, and wherever you got that bad piece of advice probably had a lot more mistakes so please ignore or delete anything else from the same source. Stamped creeds didn't come into use until maybe the mid- to later1970s.

ACCURATE information on Coach details and bogus "authenticity guide" mistakes can be found here in the six Salearea Coach Guides:

Hello Authenticaters! Could you please authenticate the two items when you have a chance? Thank you!

Item name: Vintage Coach Crossbody Bag
Item number:1469827856
Link: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-women-bags-...ossbody-bag-rare-and-100-authentic/1469827856
Seller: Vivian
Comments: I asked for a creed picture and she didnt respond for some time then she sent me the last picture thats now part of the listing. It's a pocket purse (penny?) not a city bag as the seller mentioned in the description, right? I also asked for dimension which she said 24cm wide 18cm long - so 9.5 x 7 approximately. Also was this made in 1996? From my reading, generally the thrid digit is an alphabet denoting the plant although as I understand not always.

Item number 2: Vintage Coach Red Leather shoulder Bag
Item number: 1467256356
Seller: Malinka
Link: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-other-cloth...age-coach-red-leather-shoulder-bag/1467256356
Comments: not sure whether these three pictures are enough - I looked online and to me it's a swagger bag made in 1980s. Hoping it's authentic.
