I didn’t win this, but I really like the style. I’m guessing that it’s authentic due to its age, but could you help me identify the style/name? I’d love to find another.

It's called a Letter Brief, style number 5210 and made right around 1987. It's going to be hard finding it by either name or style number, but Good Luck!

Item: a white coach purse
Listing number: not sure what number this would be
Seller: received as gift but the serial number on the tag is:B1580 F34607
Link: no link as I personally have the bag
Comments: I am just curious to know if this bag is authentic. I will post the photos I just took. Thank you in advance to any and all help

Welcome. There's another picture we need to see. Somewhere inside the bag, possibly buried into a seam in the pocket, you'll have to feel around for a small white tag with two rows of numbers and letters. It might be necessary to turn the pocket inside out to get a picture of it.
*I am not an authenticator.* I thought I'd share what I believe is the name of this style in case this helps and you'd like to know the name. If it's real, it looks like the older version of the Margot Carryall. I have one in my avatar. The older versions were made for the retail store before it became an outlet bag. Later, they switched to a magnetic leather closure instead of the clips yours has. Again, I am not an authenticator; so I am not authenticating this. I just know a little about this bag.

ETA: @BeenBurned Is it appropriate and helpful for me to comment like this as a non-authenticator?

As shown in this post, blumenflower123 has had several fakes in the past and in fact, recently sold this fake wallet.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Vintage-Slim-Plain-Brown-Leather-Checkbook-Wallet-RARE-/113896633768?hash=item1a84c4b5a8:g:6ioAAOSwHk9dcvRf&nma=true&si=2r2jiWEYNBoTTE3HdSGLmrlYjFo%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

From that post, I said, "The seller blumenflower123 really needs to start doing her homework before listing," and my opinion stands.

While I don't think she's knowingly listing and selling fakes, I can't recommend a seller who continues to post items which may or may not be authentic.

JMHO.
Please confirm.

Comments: AFAIK, this style is supposed to have lozenge lining. Was the C plant still in operation in 2002? Creed stitching is a mess.

Before an item can be identified and named, it has to be confirmed as authentic. And without the picture that was requested, it can't be confirmed.

I have NO serial numbers in my files from any C plant, Chinese or USA, from 2002. I'd assume they're all fake. There have been a handful of C serials with 2001 year codes but they're all described as "questionable". The last C serial I'm sure of is from September 2000, see below.

ETA - the creed stamping in what I'm sure is a fake is crooked, off center, the stitching is a mess, and the patch isn't even cut straight. The seller says it has a Signature lining but all I see is solid black which is what it's supposed to be, the hangtag is fake or from an older bags, the Coach logo on the creed is using the old style "fat" font, and there's no period in the creed after "cowhide".

FAKE
