The main thing I noticed was the incorrect font used for the "No" in the G6B-9991 serial number. Here's a different fake with the same plant and year code and the same too-big "o" in "No". The near-breaks at the tops of both Cs in the Coach logo above the creed are also the same, while the "1"s in the style numbers between real and fake are different:

Compare them to a genuine *6B- serial prefix:

The only problem I see with the zipper ring is that the leather pull tab is missing on the fake, which doesn't prove anything. The long strap and strap hardware are different, but unexplainable differences in the creeds and serial numbers are always the best proof because those are elements that are integral and unchangeable parts of the bag. Things like straps, hangtags, etc are easily changed.

ETA - As for your browser closing the rover.ebay links - when I click on that rover. ebay link my Firefox browser is redirected to the shorter www .ebay. com URL that's in my post, that's where I got that URL Maybe your browser sees it as a potentially dangerous redirect that might be taking you to a spoof website. That's just a guess, I haven't noticed any problems similar to that before now. Someone with a stronger background in Computer security may have a better explanation.

After reading this- it reminded me of this listing.

because of the font of the numbers ans the size of the "O" in no- is this fake?

NO. We keep emphasizing this but you probably haven't been here long enough to catch one of those posts. Every plant's creed and serial number stamps were different, and often went through several changes and updates and re-wordings along the way. The ONLY comparisons you can ever make between different creeds and serial numbers are between genuine creeds from the same plant and year, and preferably the same month. And sometimes there are differences even then. Creeds and serials can be slightly different or look different depending on whether they're for direct stamping onto the bag's leather or meant to be used on a sewn-in patch. Some plants' stamps changed constantly as they wore out and were repaired with bits and pieces of other stamps, Costa Rica in their last few years is a good example. Other stamps like many with "M" were floaters and assigned to different plants temporarily, as they were needed. Don't ever assume something's fake because the stampings aren't identical. That's why you need authenticators who know thos details and changes and have photos to back them up. DON'T try to figure it out yourself.

Thanks for taking the time to write- will keep the "same plant same year same month" comparison in mind...

It looks fine. The seller seems to have the set.

A couple of weeks ago, the seller had 7 different listings, all for the station bag fob, all with the same pictures and claimed to have 7 of them. Ebay considered them to be duplicate listings and they were removed. (I find it hard to believe that he would have had 7 of them anyway.)

My concern with the seller is that some or all of the pictures may not be his/her own.

Backgrounds in listings are different and the catalog picture (with the brass daypack) was stolen from this seller's listing.

If you're the winner, I'd request a picture of the keychain with a piece of paper on which the seller has written his ID.

I don't think it's a problem.

I only have the daypack currently. I've had the station bag and duffle. All of mine had a chain and ring like the station bag shown in your picture. I would be concerned that the chains are different and the rings are smaller. The ring attaching the daypack to the chain is awfully thin. It doesn't look like the daypack shown in the listing(stolen picture). They also look like they don't have the same sheen as the others.

I really appreciate everyone's input, but now whateve pointed out exactly my concerns. Why if there were a "collection" or set, the chains and rings were going to be different. Also the metal feels different (coarser) and the shine is not the same. The shine from the new in box and the duffle that has been used are very similar, but not on the questionable ones.
If (may be I was told wrong), but I was told these are hard to find, and this guy had 7? Using pictures from other sellers? Not a very good feeling, I am going to ask for a refund.

Just adding that I have requested a refund. We will see what happens next. Not sure if to leave feedback now or wait for the response.
Again, thank you to everyone that took the time to take a look and reply, I really appreciate it.
