Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

LOSER, SHMOOZER! You aren't a real Coach collector until you've bought at least one fake. To paraphrase a supposed ancient Japanese quote that was the inspiration for an early James Bond book and movie:
"You only live twice. Once when you are born, and once when you look a fake Coach serial number in the face."

I know that, as a pilot, we have a couple of sayings that are age-old flying wisdom:
"There's them that has, and them that will," and "A good pilot is always learning." I think those work just as well for Coach collectors. I'm dreading my first fake but I only hope it won't be too much of a loss! Luckily, with all the dedicated authenticators (and all the knowledge collected here), I know we are well-protected from the fakers.

I've always liked "A good landing is one you can walk away from." aeroplane.gif

I suppose that could be tweaked to cover Coach collecting as well. "A 'good fake' is one that cost less than a cup of coffee". A bit dry, but it's still true.

That seller has sold fakes before, especially Korean fakes:

There have also been Negative Feedbacks left saying the items were fake

The bag is genuine but the seller needs to do a much better job taking creed photos. Many of their Coach listings don't even include creed photos, and a seller who's been called out for selling fakes should be MUCH more careful about proving the authenticity of what they're selling. There's no excuse for that kind of laziness.

The seller also lists an Ergo style but with the same style number as the bag you're asking about, but with different "stock numbers'. If you buy, be very careful that you get charged the correct price and get the correct bag.
