Coach 13486 Leather Pearl Carly Purse Handbag Bag Shoulder Bag Tote Authentic
Seller:gmc_2012

Looks like the cert says - L0332-13486 (which is a different #than the Carly Bag I have) I asked for a better photo - see below.

Thanks!:smile1:

I think the prefix is L08xx which would mean it was made in 2008.

I would have been happy with those. We weren't required to wear any particular shoes - my school didn't require uniforms - but my mother made us wear the same shoes she had growing up. Just like those but in a tan/brown color combo. I remember begging to be allowed to get the "cooler" black and white ones. :rockettes::doggie:

That's funny, I would have KILLED for the brown and tan ones! And I really envied the rich girls who had access to a shoestore that sold a much sleeker style with thinner, less industrial soles and didn't look like steel-toed work boots.

Diff'rent strokes...

:okay:

It seems genuine, and was made in 2008. I hope you keep in mind that Coach made more than one kind of leather Carly.

:ty: I didn't know they made more than one kind...I knew they made different colors of Carly's. When I bought mine at Macy's, I picked up the bag to check it out and "you're so vain" by Carly Simon came on over the load speaker and I figured that was my cue to buy it. :sunnies:

:urock:

Why do you think it's fake? And where are you getting the information that you're using to decide? If you're reading the wrong "guides" on the internet or Ebay, you may be making some bad mistakes about the Coach bags you're looking at.

It seems like Coach sticks with either the signature 'C' pattern (or some variation that incorporates that) or a colored leather. I just recently saw the ombre bags.

I haven't really paid too much attention to the eBay guides I have just searched the web and read about Coach in general. I go on the base and try to familiarize myself with the Coach styles.

My neighbor is a full blown Coach/Gucci/Michael Kors addict. She has an entire room filled with bags. She won't let me take pics :( . Doesn't want people to know exactly what she has. Maybe she doesn't know as much as she thought?? I've got a bunch of information from her too.

That's as good a reason as any, I suppose!

"Line" names like Carly, Madison, Ashley and dozens of others are usually almost uesless when comparing bags. Just because Coach sticks a Carly or Ashley label on a group of bags doesn't mean that they're all going to be similar or have the same details or even be made in the same year.

Carlys have been made in probably at least 3 dozen different styles, some of which don't look anything like the original Carly styles (which were first made in 2006).

The style name Ashley has been used for anywhere from 40 to 60 diffent style bags in all sizes, fabrics and price ranges. The only things they have in common is that they were all made for the Factory outlets.

The Madison name has been used off and on since the early 1990s, and there's NO connection or similarity whatsoever between those Madisons and the current ones, or even between many of the current "Madisons".

Even the name "Legacy" doesn't mean what some people assume it does, there have been a lot more "Legacy" branded styles that didn't have soft leathers and Legacy stripe linings like the line that came out in 2006 that so many people think of when they hear the name.

The ONLY time you can directly compare one bag to another is if they're both exactly the same style number and made in the same plant, month and year. Otherwise comparisons just aren't valid,

It's JUST a name, nothing more.

At least 90 percent of the "information" about Coach on the internet is wrong, and believing it can lead to serious mistakes. There's a reason I've been warning posters about that in my Signature that's at the bottom of every single one of my posts for years.

The damage most of those online guides and information sites have done is HUGE, from gullible people buying fakes because they have the "right" zipper, to honest sellers having GENUINE bags reported as fakes because they break some ridiculous "rule" in some bogus online guide that should have been deleted back into electrons as soon as it was posted.

If you want ACCURATE information about Coach without the BS and the bogus Rules or Proofs, read and save the Salearea Guide and the Fake Numbers Guide. If you don't think they're worth your time, you're going to keep on having problems trying to figure out what makes one Coach fake and another one genuine. And I especially suggest you read the Salearea Guide that discusses "authenticity guides".

You decide - accuracy, or lies and BS?
