Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Please assist to authenticate. Bought this from my friend. According to her the bag is authentic. Originally bought from coach outlet store in Hong Kong. But then, after I bought the bag, I doubted because the saffiano leather seems less structured compared to saffiano leather used in Michael Kors and Kate Spade bags. Appreciate your responses & if possible please specify what went wrong with the bag. I would want to explain with my friend so I can ask for a refund if proven fake. Hope we still remain friends after. :graucho: But I hope it is authentic.

Reposting with clearer picture of the creed. It's hard to take clear picture & read the creed. Maybe because of the saffiano leather lines.

Bought this from my friend. According to her the bag is authentic & originally bought from coach outlet store in Hong Kong. But then, after I bought the bag, I doubted because the saffiano leather seems less structured compared to saffiano leather used in Michael Kors and Kate Spade bags.

Appreciate your responses & if allowed kindly specify what went wrong with the bag. I would want to explain with my friend so I can ask for a refund if proven fake. However, if not allowed to specify, you can just state if authentic or not. I hope it is authentic.

I apologize for the delay in my response but I wanted to see the pictures and do a bit of research on a full screen. Phones and tablets just don't cut it sometimes, as convenient as they are!

I don't see any problems with the bag.

You really can't compare the texture and stiffness of Coach's saffiano leather to Kate Spade's or Michael Kors's. In fact, even within a brand, because leather texture can vary from cow to cow, you can find variations from bag to bag.

Again, I don't see anything that indicates that the bag isn't authentic.

I'm a Coach newbie, so am trying to learn what's worth buying.

Genuine.

Just a word to the Wise - the "authentication service" whose logo appears in that seller's listings is practically useless, especially when Coach products are involved. ANY time you see their logo, for ANY brand, I strongly suggest having the item authenticated by real experts like the posters here at tPF.

ETA to Whateve - GOTCHA THIS TIME !!! ;)
