Hello, I’m wondering if I can get a style and rough manufacture date for this beauty. I’ve scoured over so many images but can’t find this bag. It measures 8x7x4 with a 36” strap. Strap has 4 holes with no metal enforcement. It almost looks like a classic shoulder with a turnlock. Thanks!F95D7873-EFDC-4834-AA14-F233919CC1F3.jpeg17CDF7A7-159D-44F0-A57F-3F13DFCC66D5.jpeg4C32CD19-8AA0-4C07-B047-4BC8334D476D.jpeg1AF63D01-18C3-4900-A692-5C10CF3A156D.jpeg147E9279-DCFE-4844-9DE5-AFAF299B6538.jpegFB96FD5C-D215-467F-B1CF-6C0F43EDDACF.jpeg

It looks like a 9530 Small Shoulder Bag (also called a Small Pouch and a Shoulder Bag with Turnlock).
Here's 1983 catalog image of the Small Shoulder Bag:

Yours was probably made between somewhere between the late 1970s and 1988.

It looks like a style 9530 Small Shoulder Bag probably made in the early to mid-1980s. Here's the 1986 catalog page showing the slightly later "Shoulder Bag with Turnlock" title but they're both the same bag

Item: Regina
Seller: suigenerisme

In my limited time searching for vintage styles I don’t remember an S for month and I don’t have a country listed for H plant in my cheat sheet? Seller did not have a pic of the creed but immediately added it to the listing for me. Thanks!

That's because Coach has never used "S" for a plant code. The last known genuine H plant codes are from 1998. It's Fake.

The back of the turnlock plate also has indentations for the prongs, which is completely wrong.

It's NOT from the 1970s. It's one of the Swingers from the Lightweight line made in the late 1980s, either the 4080 Small or the Standard 4040. Since the seller couldn't be bothered to give measurements it's hard to say which one, but it's genuine.

Thank you! I also thought the lock looked off. I also found it interesting that they immediately had a creed pic to send me. Could they have taken a pic that quick? Sure maybe but I have a feeling they left it out on purpose.

That's entirely possible, it might have been removed by Ebay at least once already.

If someone could please have a look at this one, I'd appreciate it. The pictures are pretty bad, sorry, the creed was faded and really hard to photograph, so if you can't make it out, no worries. If it is real I may go back tomorrow and pick it up to experiment with rehabbing. Thanks!

So, I’m that seller and found this forum when trying to figure out why my listing was removed. Just so you know, I posted the photo so quickly because i happened to be home in the next room with the bag, not because i have some elaborate Coach bag scam going on.

I don’t know enough about designer bags, obviously, because I bought this bag thinking it was real. I’ve never owned a designer bag before, and I’ve certainly never bought a fake knowingly. I bought it from a vintage seller on instagram who is now refusing to refund me. I don’t know why I’m posting here other than because I feel like **** because not only did I get ripped off, but there’s a forum where people are talking about my attempt to make a lousy $75 to put towards my savings like I’m some nefarious scam artist.
