If you're referring to the "Saddle Bag"/ fake Patricia's Legacy, I already explained that it was Fake here:

If you haven't already bought it there's no reason to go back to the store.
Your knowledge is amazing. I read these posts everyday but I just don’t have the memory anymore . Thank you from saving my wallet, again!

Edit: I just saw your post with the full explanation...I didn’t get through the whole thread when I responded. It’s 6:45 am here and I haven’t had my coffee yet, lol. Take care Hyacinth!!

Like so many others of various shopgoodwill listings, this one is fake too even though the listing states, "Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana states that this item has been posted in accordance with shopgoodwill.com's policy prohibiting the sale of counterfeit items. If you have any questions or concerns about the authenticity of this item please contact seller directly prior to bidding."

If you have an account and contact them, feel free to refer them here! (I'm even willing to respond if shopgoodwill were verify authenticity of their items prior to listing them! In some of the other brands, authenticators won't help sellers. I think I can speak for the other Coach authenticators when I say that if the sellers want to do the right thing, we're willing to help as long as they aren't posting their own listings.)

Some shopgoodwill listings show Entrupy authentications. I wouldn't trust those listings either because Entrupy has been wrong on Coach many times.

In case you report it to Goodwill and they ask WHY you think it's counterfeit-

The Coach logo at the top of the creed stamp is wrong, the border around it is much too thick and the Coach logo too big for the frame or cartouche.

The gaps between many of the words in the creed are much too wide

Last but certainly not least, the date code in the serial number "D4" means the bag would have been made in April 1994. But this Taft style wasn't even introduced by Coach until the Fall 1995 catalog, a full 18 months after the date in the fake serial number.

EDITED to correct date error

The serial number isn't valid for several reasons. The plant code "G" is too early for any bag made in 1994 which is the year code, and the first examples of a G code are from 1996 and only found in luggage. The same plant would not have been making handbags.

@Hyacinth, check your PMs.

Ooooweee I think I actually have made good use of the Salearea guides you posted recently about creeds -- but want to check with you guys before reporting this as fake. Am I right? The creed is what tipped me off, but the fabric lining and odd-looking strap are also red flags (no pun intended) in my book.

It's all thanks to you ladies! :biggrin:

I have fun clicking all the links to the bags posted in here and trying to decide if a bag is authentic lol Then the authenticators roll through ... “Bag is fake at first glance but it’s authentic by my files, you can tell by the grommet that is a quarter inch too low. This only occurred on every other Wednesday for 2 months in 1996 in the Italian plant. The craftsman's name was Lorenzo, he enjoyed espresso. God rest his soul.”

Ohhhhh I see! Lol I love all the details in here.

I love it! I feel like I'm apprenticing in here though it's one of those decades-long apprenticeships and... well, there's really no job at the end of it, only more purses. JUST WHAT I WANTED ANYWAY!

Hi Again, Could you please authenticate this for me. I believe it is an authentic Murphy. Just want to be sure.
