Good morning, authenticators. I am curious about this bag, not only its authenticity but its color. Is it just a slightly faded mahogany or is it really a mocha or putty color? I saw a catalogue page for this bag, Helen's Legacy, and no color like mocha or putty was even listed, though I know they were colors on the Duffle Sac.

COACH HELEN'S LEGACY MEDIUM MOCHA PUTTY DUFFLE FEED SAC MESSENGER BAG 9953

I realize that different years' productions could yield different color choices. I just hope to confirm this version in this color. Thanks in advance.

The only brown shade that seems to have been available for that style in 1995 was Taupe. That's what it looks like to me.

It's authentic.
Authentic but I don't know the actual color.

Thank you so much! You are always so helpful! Now off to spend my husband's money!

Hi ladies,

These photos were sent to me for my opinion and I’m thrown by a couple of things on the creed. Can you tell me if this is authentic?

It's authentic.

Some of the creeds (mostly men's and gender-neutral business items) had that CL Coach Leatherware creed. And some styles from the early 2000s had letters in the style numbers.

ETA: I was able to find a picture from a listing that even showed the tag. The bag is Legacy leather double zip (?commuter).

Hi all, I have a couple more Coach bags I was hoping someone could authenticate when they have a moment.

#1 is a black Coach Legacy Crossbody, purchased at a thrift store years ago, serial number on the creed was tough to see but I believe reads No D0D-9167, measurements are 8.25" width, 4.75" length, 2.75" base.

#2 is I believe a brown Coach Maggie Mini, purchased at a thrift store years ago, serial number on the creed reads No C8P-9019, measurements are 9.5" width, 7.75" length, 5.75" base.

Thank you so much in advance.

I'm finally going through my entire Coach stash to have them authenticated before I rehab them and will probably sell at least half of them. I know there are some negative opinions on Poshmark, and eBay is a popular choice so long as you can trust the seller, but is there a forum on TPF for swapping or advertising a bag for sale? So many of us love these beautiful bags and I've learned a lot from this community and would like to know my bag is going to someone who will love it. Just curious as Ravelry (for knitting/crocheting) has a fiber trade/sell/gift area that reminded me to ask you all about this option. Let me know if I should direct this question elsewhere and my apologies if it's out of line for this forum. Thank you!

Please wait for others to authenticate, but to answer your other question:
