Item: NWT/NIB Vintage Coach Brass Hang Tag Key Chain
Name/Number: Promo Brass Keyfob 7201
Seller: gguillot
Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/NWTNIB-Vintage-Coach-Brass-Hang-Tag-Key-Chain-5bd136a40cb5aad27854acb9

Comments: This item has piqued my curiosity, especially since the seller can provide multiples. I know that vintage coach bags marked “Made in Korea” are often fakes. I also know that Poshmark is not the most reliable site for purchasing authentic goods, and that fakers have been known to create fake boxes, tags, tissue, etc. as well as fake products.

But this item is marked as “Promo Brass Keyfob 7201” and the box is stamped “Korea” so I was wondering if this could be an authentic Coach item that was made in Korea during this era? Or is this just another clever fake?

Curious minds want to know, thank you!

While I've not seen (or taken notice of) Korean-made keychains, that keychain is fine and the box is also.

I wonder if it was a GWP item, thus the "promo" designation.

It's interesting because I had one of those fobs that looks identical to that in the listing but mine shows the style as 123/123G. Mine was in a different box though:

I have the same keychain in my files as 7200. I believe 123G was the same thing in a gift box.
Boy, Coach sure lives up to our motto for them: "The most consistent thing about Coach is its inconsistency."

Why would they make the (seemingly) identical item with multiple style numbers?
I also had that same item (with tag) as 7200.

I really appreciate all the information and the pics are very helpful! At first I was just curious as to whether it was authentic or not, but your photos and information intrigued me so much that I put in an offer for $9 and it was accepted! So now I will have one too!

Although the rogues are highly faked, I think this one is good.

Other opinions are welcome.

Thank you! Do you happen to know what the abbreviations on the tag stand for? The Coach website just says Rogue 25 with Rivets so I'm not sure what the "RSN BR" means.

I don't know (nor could I figure out) what the abbreviations mean.

ETA: I think RSN refers to resin cabochons (studs with color?)
