BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.
  • Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.
  • Please note that comments on price and condition are NOT permitted.
  • Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests should be posted in this thread.
  • Should one of your items be questioned in this thread, you are welcome to provide additional pictures or materials supporting its authenticity.
  • Do not handle your disputes with other members in this thread but take your differences to Private Messages. Failure to do so can result in banning.
  • Please utilize the "Quote" feature when responding directly to another post.

Hi everyone...
Does Coach ever have a bag named Messico? My aunt bought this bag from Camarillo Premium Outlet and I'd like to know if it's authentic. It has a suede lining not like what other coach bags have.. Unfortunately I don't have the bag with me now and I only have these photos.. Could someone maybe help me identify only by these photos? ^^IMG_8308.jpg IMG_8309.jpg IMG_8310.jpg

Welcome to TPF.

Unfortunately, those pictures aren't enough to authenticate the bag. However if indeed it came directly from a Coach factory outlet store, I can't imaging that it would have been fake.

I will say that there may be rare instances where outlet stores have accepted returns of fakes and possibly resold them, those cases haven't had enough concrete evidence to prove the claims.

If you are going to receive the back, post pictures when you get it.

ETA: Assuming authenticity, it appears that the bag may be style 56518, a signature debossed patent top handle bag. That style does have a suede-like lining.

I added to my post above.

I don't know where you're getting the name "Messico" as being the style you are asking about but based on the listings I looked at, none show that name on the tags.

What I found is a similar style that appears to be named "Messico" but it's not the same bag you're asking about. The Messico is a coated signature pattern. Note that I'm not necessarily assuming all the pictures below are of authentic bags but this is what Messico looks like.

Both bags look good.

In the first listing, the seller doesn't show enough detailed pictures of the wallet but from what I see, it seems okay too.
