Good afternoon again

Here is another previous purchase I made a couple of years ago from another Etsy seller. Bag was and is in great condition but the leather feels a bit different from the few other vintage bags I have. I love the bag anyway but would like to know for sure if it is authentic.

Thanks!!

Size: 9” x 7” x 2.5”
Strap drop: about 20” at its longest
Note that the photos were taken by the seller.

It appears to be a compartment bag #9850 although the turnlock doesn't look like a Coach. I don't see any problems with the creed so it is probably authentic.

Good afternoon

Looking to confirm if this bag is authentic. The bag is in my possession. I bought it a couple of years ago from an Etsy seller (before I discovered this site) so hopefully it’s ok. Not looking to sell but would like to know for sure if it’s authentic.

Size: 8” wide x 6” high x 3” deep
Strap drop: approximately 19”

Thanks you!

This adorable bag is an authentic Collegiate bag from the late 80s.

Thanks for looking at this and noting the turn lock.
I got the bag from a rehabber so maybe she had to replace it.
It’s still a nice bag and though the strap is also a bit short I can manage to get this one over my coats :)
Thanks whateve!

View attachment 4336568 Hello, I would like to ask for a help in authenticating this canteen signature canvas crossbody bag. You’re help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Btw this is from carousell
Here are some of the pictures that was captured by the seller. It says that it is authentic and includes dustbag, card, tag and gift receipt. Does it mean that it is authentic? It is brand new and cost like 4,500 pesos or 80-90 dollars.

Hi... I would like to ask about STRAP in SONOMA natural grain line.. I hope I am not in the wrong thread..

I wonder if the strap in the 4316 Sonoma Large Hobo is different than in other sonoma single strap bags such as in :
• 4920 Pocket Shopper
• 4916 Large Bucket Natural Grain

I am looking for a Sonoma and I don’t have one and have never seen one. I am torn between couple of Sonomas on sale, and this strap thing could be a deal breaker.

Thank you in advance.

This is the Authentication thread. One of the posts on vintage Coaches in the Coach Clubhouse at the main Coach forum would have been a better place to post your question unless you're asking for authentication of a specific bag.

I'm posting the catalog photos of the other bags you mentioned. Without knowing exactly what strap details you don't like it's hard to give any advice - if you don't like the slider-type strap adjustment, all 3 styles you mentioned have it as do most Sonoma styles. Better pictures of the strap on the 4916 and 4943 Soft Bucket style can be found by Searching Ebay. I've added one from a current Ebay listing.

And just FYI, Sonoma styles were frequently faked and should always be authenticated here before buying.

The Natural Grain leather used for the Sonomas is different from the standard vintage glove-tanned cowhide and can be a bit harder to clean depending on color, and the Nubuc versions, a kind of pebbled suede, can be even harder. The Rehab and Rescue thread in the main Coach forum under "Coach Clubhouse" has quite a few posts about Sonoma rehabs, both Natural Grain (style numbers from 4900 to 4929) and Nubuc (Style numbers from 4930 to 4959).

In my opinion, the infinitely adjustable Sonoma strap is a great design element that I wish they still did today. There is no strap end to curl up.

I should ve tried other thread you mentioned. Thanks.

Btw I'm looking for the natural grain not the nubuc. I dont mind the slider. Im curious whether there is difference between strap, as I saw a listing of 4316 (large hobo) in ebay and the strap appears to be slightly wider than other model.. Sonoma collectors could give me a little help to enlight me :amuse:

Appreciate the insights. I am going to post here for authentication as always
