Hello all! I’m here for the first time, because I’m stumped by this bag listed on Poshmark. I’m not sure of the style name, because it isn’t listed and google gives me no information. What is throwing me off is the spacing on the creed patch. There is no spacing before or after the word Vietnam. When I search the style number I see a tan/peachy kind of colored bag. Not like the bag pictured.

The bag in your pictures looks authentic. Coach used the same style number for all colorways of the same style. I was trying to be nice but I feel that nice vintage bag was completely ruined. No collector wants something that has been altered. Repaired is okay, but not that.

Damn right it is. If it says Coach and wasn't made by Coach, it's counterfeit.

Genuine Coach straps NEVER have the name woven in. The hardware isn't by or for Coach either, the clip design was never used by Coach and the strap adjustment looks like it came from the 50-cent bin at the Dollar Store and is just base metal with no brass or nickel coating at all. And the top layer of Coach leather would never fall off in chunks like that, it's probably vinyl.

My report to Ebay says exactly what the above post says.

It's authentic. The attached inner leather loop and the dogleash attached to it are not Coach. I think the strap has been altered, made shorter. The short part looks too short, the buckle shouldn't be that close to the end, and the entire strap looks too short. It doesn't look like you would wear if crossbody.

Thye seller has also selected "No" in the Description section under "Modified item" (I've never even noticed that category before) which is definitely NOT accurate. So it's SNAD as well. The strap has definitely been chopped by 6 to 8 inches, maybe more. It doesn't look much longer than 30 inches.

KOREAN SIGNATURE AND FABRIC FAKES?

Yep, first one I've seen too. After 30 years of faking leather bags, wallets and briefcases they're expanding into Sig fabrics. Let's hope this is just an old example and not a new trend.

So I'm 99% positive this bag is a fake, but I wanted to get your opinion as well. I've already reported it to Etsy and then found it pinned several times on their official Pinterest!

-Plastic zipper
-Leather color seems off

You are correct. It's fake and in fact, G4D-4437 and GAD-4437 are both commonly seen on fakes.

ETA: Good luck trying to get Etsy to remove fakes! I've never been successful.

It looks ok to me. The only difference I can see is that the font on the large white enamel hangtag is a bit narrow, but it's still the right font.

I had my account frozen once when someone reported me. It was before I knew much about authenticating D & B bags so I know they occasionally take things seriously
