Do you think this is fake? The color seems odd and I haven't seen a strap worn away like that on an older bag.

Do you think this is fake? The color seems odd and I haven't seen a strap worn away like that on an older bag.

I think it's authentic but I don't think it's purple and it's not that old. It was made in 2005 and I think the purple "look" is just dried out mahogany leather.

It's possible it might be purple though, Coach did have an Aubergine color for the Cty Bag in 2005, although they also had Mahogany. But that bag has been used pretty hard for one that's only 10 years old.

I'm wondering if this is an example of the Costa Rica plant not having access to a zero for the 2004 year code as it has nickel hardware, and it's blue. Or is it fake?

Genuine, and it IS one of those oddball Costa Rica serial numbers that's actually from 2004. So not vintage, but a great color.

I'm going to also say it's probably very likely its purple. I have a rambler that is from the same plant and year but a month earlier and a very dark purple, and the corner wear on my bag and the purple city bag look very similar.

I need another thrift store purchase authenticated. I believe this one is a Sonoma Cross Body in Pebbled Leather. However, I am unsure of the year. The height is 6 inches, the length is 9 inches and the depth is 3 1/2 inches. Thank you in advance!
