Coincidentally, the one with the number on the label was probably made for outlet as there is an E after the style number. I'm not positive as to what the E means, but I've seen bags with E creeds at the outlet.
From what I've been able to figure out, the E after the style number indicates a bag that was an exclusive made for a department store. Although I'm not certain, I believe "E" bags were made for sale at Dillards.

I believe the reason they're seen at the outlets (after) is based on something I learned while shopping at macy's recently.

According to the SA and a manager at Macy's, items receive a number of markdowns, after which they are coded in their computer as being priced at $.01. At that point, the items are supposed to be removed from the selling floor and returned to the "supplier," which would be Coach. (If those items are missed from removal and remain in the store, they are sold at the marked price (if marked) or at $75% off retail if unmarked.)

I believe when Coach gets the unsold department store returns, they send them to the outlet.

It's probably similar with department store exclusive items; they go back to Coach and on to the outlets.
Different style numbers for one thing. And one style was apparently made for a retail partner.

Oops.

Made a quick stop after lunch today at the Goodwill Blue Boutique. Found this with an older friend in mind to rehab for. Could you please confirm authenticity? TIA.
