Is this bag fake?.. please confirm. I don't have any regular dinky to compare.

Item: Coach cornflower dinky

Seller: philosopher-queen2012

Comment: the hardware: the wrong orientation of the kisslock. The kisslock hardware.. isn't it always wrapped in brown color leather? The Creed patch.. I have never seen it on the kisslock pocket leather itself! The hardware also looks unusually shiny.

Thank you, BeenBurned, for your reply. As I am still learning about the creeds and their markings, I am curious about the dot, or indentation, that is on the creed under the "CO" of COACH. I've searched but not had any luck.

Has anyone seen a marking like this before, and do you know what it means, if anything?

...not sure what happened to our previous posts. Again, this is the listing:

Item: Vintage Coach City Bag
Listing number: 232837708813
Seller: debsw52

Are you talking about the indentation here? If so, that happens occasionally. When they were stamping the creed, there may have been a tiny stone, piece of dust or some other foreign object on the stamping device.

Again, that bag is authentic.

I have doubts about the Regina. The rest look authentic. The red one is a basic bag.

I can't comment on authenticity (per se) but there's no way I'd recommend anyone buy that bag if the pictures in the listing are all they're willing to offer.

There are too many Dinky bags with the same "DK-20215" non-serial number on the creed, some of which might be the same style and others are not. No matter the pattern, multiple styles have that number.

Sellers need to show the white label from inside the pocket both if they want to prove authenticity, fight a potential dispute or want their bags authenticated!

I agree, the "Regina" is fake. Not only was "T" not a valid handbag plant code for ANY US plant (it was only used by Costa Rica and only in 1999), but the style number belongs to a Court Bag, not a Regina.

If having doubts means you aren't sure, did you notice that the creed for the "Regina" has a Court bag style number?

And additionally, I've seen other C4T creeds and don't recall any ever being authentic.

ETA: Oops, I should have refreshed the page. Hyacinth beat me to the punch!

Well, I'm embarrassed I didn't look closely at the Regina style number as that was one of my picks along with the Casino, but thank you whateve, BeenBurned, and Hyacinth for your help! I appreciate it. SaraTHW knows how easy it is for me to get caught up in a sales rush when I've had my heart set on a style.
Are you aware that it's illegal for thrift stores to sell fakes? Thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, consignment stores, Craigslist, ebay, etc. - and every other possible venue is required to obey the law when it comes to selling items. EVERY item is required to be authentic and if they don't know, they can't disclaim knowledge or tell you they "aren't selling as authentic."

If I'd bought the fake, I'd take it back and either get a refund or exchange it for something else. You shouldn't write it off as a loss.

JMHO.

Daughters impulse buy...but here is the Creed photo... style is 9020. The M and the Z plant were flags, but after reading the posts from February 2016 I’m not sure. Help? Thanks as always!
It is fake. There is a frame around the number that shouldn't be there. The Z plant code was used for the Dominican Republic, not the US. The font is too thick. The zipper pull looks wrong. Insist the seller pays for shipping both ways when you return.

Thank you yet again, Hyacinth! (I did look at the info on the seller..station_85.....boy is he/she bad news!) Tried to tell my girl but she loved the bag and bought it, just hoping....
