Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

That seller was a tPF member a long time ago. It's a shame they didn't stay around longer and learn more about recognising fakes.

That's ANOTHER seller, or at least a seller ID, who should have learned a long time ago what photos are neccessary to prove to potential buyers that their items are genuine. They were made aware years ago about the importance of clear creed photos.

The bag CAN'T be authenticated with just the pictures the seller posted and we absolutely do not recommend buying from them without a solid authentication.

And while the seller's Feedback record at Toolhaus.org has gotten better over the years because of a change of ownership, there's still room for improvement, especially when it comes to the condition of some of their items.

Be patient, it takes a while for the page to load completely.

And remember, you can use the Search Forums link near the top of almost every tPF page to check for mentions of a specific seller and if there have been any problems with them that members may have posted about.

Thank you all very much! Just from the brief time I have been here, I have learned that none of the bags in my ebay watch list were authentic. I had no idea. Makes me wonder if I will be able to find an authentic bag in my price range.

You will. There are lots of well-priced authentic items. you just need to verify authenticity.
