Believe this is called a mini suede field bag? Unsure of year but I think I remember seeing it in stores around 2001?

Serial number prefix J8H- is ALWAYS fake, no exceptions have ever been found. The strap on it is also wrong and the buckle is too far from where it's attached to the purse. It would also help to see a photo of the back of the turnlock that shows the prongs, that's probably wrong too. There are other problems like mismatched colors on the strap keeper and a section of the binding, but the serial prefix is proof enough.

It's fake. If you get rid of it, remove or obliterate the creed. Fakes don't rehab the same as the real thing.

I checked and I knew about the J8H thanks to the links you posted to me before , but this bag is J6H, not J8H and I didnt find it as a fake prefix, but I know the links are not exhaustive. Is this still a fake for the other reasons you said? I have attached a picture of the turn lock backs.

It is fake. The font is incorrect for the H plant.

ETA: Some comps from same year and plant. (Yours is the first example)
