I've looked up the code of this wallet and it seems authentic based on Google images. Am I missing anything?View attachment 4088610 View attachment 4088611 View attachment 4088612 View attachment 4088613 View attachment 4088614
Did you purchase this online? Is there a link where it is or was listed? If it was listed somewhere, I'd like to see the listing as well as another picture showing the back of the outside of the wallet.

While not implying that I see anything questionable, I just want to say that because an item's serial or style number looks "correct" for the style doesn't mean it's authentic. For example, the following 2 pictures show bags with "correct" style numbers on their creeds but both are fake:

Hello authenticators! As time allows, please take a look at the following:

Item: VINTAGE COACH XL SONOMA TOTE BUTTERCREAM PEBBLE LEATHER 4920 USA
Listing number: 253663189519
Seller: ssherry1953
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/253663189519
Comments: Curious as to the style name for this bag. And also, is Buttercream the correct color name for this? In my amateur research, the lightest color I found for this style is Camel.

It's authentic. It was called Sonoma pocket shopper natural grain. There was a buff and a parchment color. I don't remember seeing a buttercream for Sonomas. There was a butter for Madisons.

It looks like an early 1996 color based on the date. That style is in the Spring Preview 1996 catalog as being available in either Parchment or Wheat, my guess is Parchment. I have a bag in Wheat and it's much more of a Camel color.

Ouch, this sounds tricky. This was sold by a private person in a different forum (no listing available) but the description just said they're selling out stuff they no longer use.... here's the back:

Hi everyone,

I found a Coach Borough Bag on ebay. I have the same one in the small version and now I'm thinking about getting the large version.
Would you please be so kind to authenticate it: https://www.ebay.de/itm/NWT-COACH-Borough-Oxblood-Pebbled-Leather-Bag-Shoulder-Strap-box-AUTHENTICATED/173349385473?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Thank you!
Best regards,
VeeBee

P.S.: I checked the style number from the tag (28180?) online but couldn't find any large Borough Bag with this number....

Thank you for the authentication!! I appreciate your expertise. This is a really lovely style.

I'm seeing $15.31 Expedited Shipping. I'm in Massachusetts. But the cross-country shipping IS definitely excessive because it doesn't require an oversized box.

If you're interested in buying, ask the seller to recalculate shipping and the package size.

I have had the same thing happen when I list bags - expedited shipping automatically calculates startling amounts for cross-country shipping for anything other than a book box or (of course) flat rate. I contacted the seller and they agreed to shift to ground shipping which would be much more manageable.
That said, I am still pondering. As much as I have a soft spot for Sonomas, I hesitate at the color as I have been looking for a spring-summer bag that I can actually use without quite as much concern.

Hi everyone,

Thinking on buying this bag, is it authentic? And would anyone know the best way to throroughly clean it being that it is super light? I normally wash my darker colored bags. And I’d like to do the same with this one but I’m nervous.

It's fine. I wash light colored bags too. It is harder to get these rehabbed as nicely, in my opinion, due to the thinner leather and inferior dyes Coach used at the time. It doesn't look too bad in the pictures.

Comment: J4C-9950. Font doesn't match other J4C creeds I have pictures of, but I don't have one of this style. Also, the damaged-stamp-gap in the border around the creed is missing...was that gap only on certain styles?
It appears to have been removed.

If you mean the break near the upper right corner, that only happened in C plant creeds between September and November 1994 (J,K, and L, but only on SOME of the Js and Ls, which is exactly what I'd expect).
