This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.

    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:

    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Yeah I asked about the two locations, she says she has two warehouses, one in Texas, one in Montreal . Doesn't explain the Canada Post issue though . Thanks for the advice!

TWO warehouses? In different countries? For an Ebay inventory that currently consists of exactly ONE handbag and what appears to be 6 boxes of 17ml / .57 ounce "intimacy gels", 10 to a box ????? All of which would easily fit in a 12 by 15-inch space on my closet floor? And that in the past year only included one other handbag and boxes of dietary or bodybuilding powders? And for that she she has TWO WAREHOUSES???

As Big Daddy would say, "There's a powerful odor of mendacity in that room"

Hi everyone! I'm new to the purse forum so hopefully I am doing this correctly.

Could someone authenticate this Coach Bowery bag?

Item: Coach Bowery, # 57714
Listing number: 57714 (not sure if this means serial # - it is not legible in photo. I don't see a number on the Mercari webpage below)
Seller: Mercari, delilah1347
Link: https://item.mercari.com/gl/m98553119292/
Comments: I found that this seller previously purchased the bag on Poshmark from seller caydesigner1, see this link:
https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-Bowery-Crossbody-5a98e78b2ae12f1e6fb20d82

I saw this item in person in a Coach store and it looked roughly the same (I did see a serial number listed below Coach creed but cannot recall the format). The dust bag is not a style I have seen before.

If I have formatted this incorrectly, could someone let me know, too. Thanks!

Welcome! You did great for your first post.

There are no red flags in the pictures shown but more pictures are needed for authentication.

Please request clear legible pictures of the full creed and serial number as well as pics of both sides of the made in label. And just to verify that the bag is the same one, I'd like to see a picture of the actual bag. (The seller delilah1347 shouldn't be using someone else's pictures even if she's reselling the same item.)

Is this a replacement strap?

In the future, please refer to the first post of this thread to see what information we need in a request.
There is no need to attach photos that are shown in a listing that is viewable online.
The bag is authentic. It is from around 1982, not 1992. The strap is a replacement but was likely made by Coach. Back then, Coach allowed people to substitute different straps when they purchased a bag.

Need your advice and TIA.
Item: Coach briefcase
Size: About 15 x 10 inches...?
Comments: Saw at local thrift shop, looked OK to me but I did quick search on Google and Ebay and didn't find any like this, with this kind of lock. Is it authentic?

The bag seems okay and @whateve and @Hyacinth can confirm but it appears to be a springlock. (I'm not sure if that's the official word for the closure.)
It was called a springlock. I think it seems okay too, but I can't find this style in my files.

Thank you ladies for your quick response, I guess I need to come back to the store and get it even if a mystery style, LOL
Yes, it is a springlock, I saw it on other bags that had been authenticated here (from the early 90s), I meant to say I couldn't find in my search any briefcase with it. Sorry for the confusion.

I know of one briefcase with it, but not this style. However, it looks like a scout bag, just larger, so it seems good to me.

Are you sure about the measurements? There was a Stanton Briefcase 5272 from 1992-1993 but it had the same measurements as the other full-size briefcases.
