Dear authenticators,

Could you please take a look at this bag? https://www.ebay.com/itm/232672831316 ? Just got it and having some doubts, mainly because of the leather, it’s pebbled, not smooth, especially on the sides. I have some other legacy archival bags (same two tone or color block), and the leather there is very different. Here are my pictures. The stitching on the side is also less than ideal. There are no tags of any sorts. Thanks!
Bumping up my question from yesterday. Any opinions, please? Does anyone have an archival legacy something that’s pebbled leather?

Seller ellenra

I skipped the question for a couple of reasons. Neither the pictures in the listing nor your additional pictures are really adequate and a seller with as much of a history and as long a history of selling Coach and Dooney as ellenra has should know enough to include more than 4 distant and often blurry pictures. Plus, you asked for help from someone who has items from this line and I didn't fit the bill.

I don't see any problems but I'd like to see the made in tag from the bag.

This was the only tag I could find, tiny plastic thingie in one of the pockets. Please let me know if you need more pictures.

Hello authenticators! I have a request please. Thank you so much for all the help.

Item: VINTAGE COACH BRITISH TAN ABBIE CARNIVAL CROSSBODY CONVERTIBLE CLUTCH 9925
Listing number: 173155065539
Seller: alleycatcrafts
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-COACH-BRITISH-TAN-ABBIE-CARNIVAL-CROSSBODY-CONVERTIBLE-CLUTCH-9925/173155065539?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

I don't think I've ever seen one with an indented turnlock plate before. Has anyone else?

I haven't seen in the indented plates either. That is only one of the things that made me question it.

Other details are the sloppy trim and stitching on the bottom back, the lack of the "Coach" imprint on the back, the chain is twisted rather than regular links and the front of the female turnlock is larger than I think it should be.

You're probably right.

Things like stitching on such a small item don't bother me too much, it can't be easy to sew multiple layers of leather on something so small. But a turnlock that Coach doesn't seem to have used before is a bigger problem, although I can think of a valid reason for that too. And if I can think of valid reasons for discrepancies, I'd sooner err on the side of caution and not report something. There have been a few items where nothing on them matched Coach's usual details and yet they turned out to be genuine.
I'm inclined to believe it is fake, both because of the fake, and more importantly because these should have a different type of turnlock - the kind that doesn't have foldover tabs. It should be like this:
