I’m new to the forum. I have a lot of Coach purses that I have been burnt with purchasing and thought they were real. I would appreciate some assistance on authenticating the attatched purse bought via 3rd party.

Hello all,
I would love an opinion on this bag:

Item: British Tan (?) Janice's Legacy 9950
Seller: In my possession
Comments: I have 2 other Janice's Legacy bags, one manufactured in the same year and plant as this bag ( hopefully) and both authenticated here. I compared this bag to my other two, and everything looks great except for a couple of big issues.

1. The zipper fabric is black. Otherwise the zipper is brass and looks like the other zippers.
2. The inside bottom of the bag has a pretty major stitching flaw. The leather has been stitched over a fold. Outside fine.

I checked out the catalogue photos of the 1994 Janice Legacy posted by Hyacinth and can't tell about the zipper. I can see that 4 colours were released, and I think this might be BT, possibly with a replacement hang tag? I have attached a photo next to a Mahogany Legacy zip for colour reference. 20171105_144455.jpg 20171105_144148.jpg 20171105_144657.jpg

Here are a few more images. Again, thanks for your time with this!
It's fine. This was made early in 1994. Early bags all had black or navy zippers rather than matching to the color of the bag.

Hello, this is my first post here!
I'd love to have your opinion on this portfolio:

Item: "Vintage Coach Black Leather Portfolio With BOX Business Case Organizer AUTHENTIC"
Listing number: 162629059892
Seller: pomchi15221
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coach-Black-Leather-Portfolio-With-BOX-Business-Case-Organizer-AUTHENTIC/162629059892?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Comments: in person, this portfolio seems off, somehow. I've never known Coach leather that feels this way (slightly vinyl-esque) and the little "made in china" tag inside makes me wonder...

Do you have a picture of the made in China tag? I don't see it in any of the pictures. I don't see anything in the item that worries me. However, it isn't vintage. It is at most only a few years old. Other opinions are welcome.

Hi. Welcome to the purse forum. I don't see any problems but I can't find anything to compare it with. That's not surprising with a style from 6 years ago. More opinions are welcome.

I agree, it looks good.

Hello,
Thanks for such a quick response! I've attached a few pics. Maybe I'm being silly. The eBay seller has 100% positive feedback but something still bothers me about it. I guess Coach leathers have changed and I'm out of the loop these days? It's not lined in leather, that's for sure. But the whole thing feels like vinyl.

I also wondered about authenticity because the only other online match to this portfolio is shown at the following link: https://global.rakuten.com/en/store/sugarltd/item/f63715-bkbk/
