  • Front of item

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

My gut feeling is this is a fake but hoping you can confirm. It's my bag, bought online. Thankfully not for that much. The creed is crooked and barely legible, so almost impossible to get a good photo as I can barely read it up close. All I can read in the creed is, I think 9980 which a totally different style. Also the thread color is a bit off, and I think, based in other bags I've seen, the stitching in the zipper tab should you all the way around. And it just looks a tad sloppy. Thank you!!!

It looks like the serial number starts with either PIL- or P1L- . BOTH are fake, and "P" is NEVER a valid Coach month code, all "Coaches" with serial numbers starting with P are fake, no exceptions. It might be trying to be a 9950 but there are a lot of things wrong with it along with the always-fake serial prefix. I've seen dozens of different fakes with that same serial stamp and every one has been a PROVABLE fake.

Thank you! I thought so too. One of my first Poshmark purchases and didn't know enough to check, or ask for a return. Oh well..lesson learned. I'll still use it but when I'm tired of it, get rid of it vs sell.

When the time comes to discard it, please cut out the creed stamp first.

That serial stamp is so bad it keeps changing every time I look at it. But like you said, it's too crooked to be valid. The grommets on the strap look like they have a silver tint, and that incomplete stitching around the leather zipper tab is only found on fakes.

Oh definitely! Yeah...too many red flags to be authenticated. Makes me wonder if the seller was aware and deliberately sold a fake or had no clue. I guess I'll never know!

It looks genuine to me. Several posts here at tPF call it a Chelsea Flagship Dowel Flap Bag. One of the posts mentions an orange-red color called Curry.

It's fake. That is a known fake number and the font is too thick. There are misspellings in the creed. It is illegal to sell fakes so make sure they give you a refund. I'm surprised they sold it. When I asked at my Plato's Closet a few years ago, they wouldn't accept Coach unless it had tags.
