Hi Everyone! I came across this & thought the numbers on the creed looked off? Am i correct that this is not an authentic Coach? Thank you
Here's the link to the listing:

Yes, it's fake and has a known invalid serial. We've seen GAD and G4D with the same 4437 "style number."

She also has this fake:

Do not buy from galore5215!

ETA: With 86% feedback, this seller is probably not long for ebay!

And her response to this negative feedback is funny!

I am looking to buy a vintage black Coach Station bag. I've been very interested in getting a vintage Coach bag for a long time now and want to do it right. I am looking at a few listings on ebay and etsy that are $80-100, would you guys say it's appropriate for something that is relatively in good condition?

In addition to seeing which bag is authentic, I also have a bad eye for quality, so any insight would be great.

It looks like it is a popular bag and I hope at least one of these are authentic. Thank you for taking the time and looking at these.

Edit: I edited this post to narrow it down to two links and also changed the format to fit the 1st post better.

#1 looks good (seller kcdesignerdepot)

#2 - wait for Hyacinth. (seller kimthom48) - The "o" in No. looks too oval to me and the space between No and the serial number looks a bit too small to me. It could be the angle but I think another opinion is needed.

Of the other 2 you posted and redacted, the one from julischeppac_0 needs a clearer creed picture. It can't be authenticated as is.

The one from elliebata is authentic.

The second one by kimthom48 is genuine. Here are several more with identical fonts in the serial number including the slightly off-center underscore under the "o" in No:

Hello all Authenticators, I picked up about 8 vintage Coach bags at an estate sale this weekend, i am going to start to take some pics shortly for authentication.
I have a quick question about some info i found inside at least 4 of these bags. all the creed have New York City on them
I have never seen these little bags and thought maybe someone of the experts on here could tell me these are authentic.
Thanks in Advancebag-1.jpg bag-2.jpg bag-1.jpg bag-2.jpg

I've seen all except the Quality Control inspection checklist.

Hello! I'm a newbie at collecting vintage coach bags. Would appreciate it if somebody can help me authenticate this bag. Thank you!

I remember getting those back in the early 80s. I've never seen the quality control before, though.

The creed is bluey but I'm mostly curious is did coach ever made a bag like this? Under the flap credit card spot?

It's a very bad fake. All those parts under the flap are fake and cheaply made and the leather is stretch-marked, the serial number looks like it starts with "NT-", the buckles and turnlock aren't the right shape, and except for a tiny handful of bags, Coach did NOT put cwap organizer sections like that under the flaps of their classic and vintage handbags, and the few they did make would have been ten times better quality.
And Coach has NEVER used slits in the leather as credit card slots - they always use individually-sewn pockets.

Do you own it, and how long ago did you buy it?

If you read the first post in this very long thread, which you should do before authenticating ANY brand here at tPF, you would have read that we need to know when and where the bag was purchased, and if it was bought online we need a link to the listing. Please use the requested format if you need to have any other Coach item authenticated.

That bag is a complete fake. ALL SERIAL NUMBERS WE'VE EVER FOUND STARTING WITH K3H- INDICATE A FAKE. Coach never used that prefix and definitely not for any bags that say they were made in the US. There's also a big problem with the hardware.

So far, the K4H- prefixes we've seen have also all been fake, but there's an infinitesimal chance that it might have been used by Coach, but NOT in the font style that's been used on every one we've seen so far.

Was one of the bags suede? I had a suede bag that came with one of those little cloth drawstring bags. The little bag held a suede brush and eraser-like thing used to clean suede.

Thank you. I did not see the bad leather at first. I was looking from my phone in the sun at the park. I saved 2 pics and now looking at home on my computer yikes! Good to learn about the slits. The plastic part looked wavy to me.
