Would you please confirm my suspicions and advise? The hitch is that the creed pic is not shown on the 'bay listing.

The first is probably fake but I wouldn't report it without a creed pic.

The second link just comes up as
The listing you are looking for is no longer available

Red Coach Purse
In my possession
Approximate Dimensions: 12" X 7.5" X 3"
Comments: I normally buy vintage Coach and have no experience at all with newer styles. Any help in determining if this is authentic would be appreciated!

Please look inside the zipper pocket (or in the mail compartment sewn into a seam) for a white label with serial number/production information.

Is it true that all Coach keychains say "China" or "Made in China"?
No, not all. It partly depends on when the keychain was made. Often if it does say that, it will be on the small hangtag, which is sometimes missing.

The keychain you posted is fake for many, many reasons. First, Coach never made a style like that. The enameling on a Coach metal keychain is smooth, not bumpy. On yours, you can see that some of the letters are partially obscured by the colored enamel and in other places, they stick out of the enamel too much. The logos on yours are the wrong font. The hangtag is the wrong shape.

Thank you so much for all this info. I am pretty good at spotting bad bags but keychains/fobs are a mystery to me! So good to have somewhere to go to get an expert opinion!

Although Coach has made dozens of different Daisy keychains, I don't remember seeing any with 5 metal charms with the C pattern and that color combination. They did use the same colors but for a large single-charm keychain, back around 2005-06. There are also several details on the keychain that aren't right for any style from that period. I don't suppose it came in any kind of Coach gift box that you may still have?

Wait for Whateve and BeenBurned, but I don't believe it's genuine. Please do NOT try to sell it. I'll look through a few more files but my instincts are telling me that it's not right - 5-charm metal fake "Coach" keychains were for sale all over the internet 10 or 12 years ago and are probably still available.

ETA - BLAST! I have to start typing faster. :graucho: And looking through 2400 very small photos takes a while.

You're welcome! I started collecting keychains a few years ago and at first, it was a complete mystery to me. Now that I know what to look for, it is much easier. Some fakes aren't even close to styles Coach ever made, like yours, but others are really close. You would need to compare it to an authentic one in order to tell the difference.

Hyacinth, we've already determined it is fake.
