The swingpack is authentic.

Did your buyer say why she thinks it's fake?

Feel free to refer your buyer here to ask questions and express concerns.
BeenBurned, Thank you for helping me out once again. I really do appreciate it. The buyer did not write much and only wrote "This is not an authentic Coach purse so I would like to return for a full refund". This was it. I'm just concerned that this buyer will leave a negative feedback, which I feel that my husband doesn't deserve. I will try my best to convince her to this Link. Thank you so much and God Bless.

May I ask how you know it's genuine?

The bag isn't authentic and the removal was appropriate. Where did you buy that bag? Can you return it for a refund?

I purchased this myself years ago. Probably around 2000 I'd say. So no it's not returnable at this point. It has been polished with leather lotion over the years and at some point I've lost the hang fob it originally came with. So very curious how again this is not genuine?

The font and spacing of the number is not valid for the plant code. The fuzziness of the creed stamping and the body of the creed are also problems. The style was introduced late 1999 so a 1998 production date is too early.

ETA: as far as I can tell, this style was never made in the US. They were all made in Costa Rica.

It's an authentic Shelton bag #9917 from around 1993.

Thank you for your help. It's just so disheartening to know for years you never knew you purchased a fake bag. I guess it was a good one, it lasted me 17 years.

You're welcome. I'm sorry, I know how it feels.
By the way, if it is a "9" rather than an "8", that doesn't help, since the H plant wasn't in operation in 1999.

Kindly authenticate when you can. TIA!
Curious about that creed patch - I have a few Sonomas from this year/plant, one of which is a G5B-4907 and this one looks very different them.

It's authentic. There were two different creed fonts used by the B plant simultaneously.

Thanks so much whateve!

Hello, Everyone!

Could one of you lovely ladies and gents kindly authenticate this Coach Willis bag for me, please? Thank you very much in advance! The seller claims that the bag was made in Turkey in 1996. However, correct me if I am wrong, the letter "C" typically stands for made in the United States as well as a 9 before the letter, would indicate made in 1999. I might be wrong or, am I correct? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your help and time!

You're confused. The C indicates that the bag was made in March. The 9 does indicate 1999 and 2 is the Turkish plant code.

The bag is authentic.
May I ask how you know it's genuine?

Please allow an authenticator to validate this bag, but FYI, the first letter denotes the month of manufacture (in this instance, C = March) and the 2 is valid for the Turkey plant. And yes, the middle 9 in the prefix indicates 1999 as the year of manufacture.
