IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Please read Post number One of this thread for the information we need to do an authentication. It says, in part:
  • Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.

Although in this case, the bag is fake. Is this currently being offered for sale? Please supply a valid URL for the listing, if it is.

And why are you asking about this again? Two different authenticators told you on April 2 that the bag was fake, and why it was fake.

I think she was asking again because I asked her to show a close up of the numbers even though she told me it was not authentic. I didn't see her original authentication post or wouldn't have asked. I only wanted to see what a fake looks like to take note. I never said it was authentic or might be authentic.

Hi, I checked this one last week here and was told it is fake, but a few people are now telling me it's authentic. Wondering if you can double check? Thank you!!

In her quote above, she made this comment: "Hi, I checked this one last week here and was told it is fake, but a few people are now telling me it's authentic. Wondering if you can double check? Thank you!!" It was mistakenly showing as being in someone else's request.

My question to @Tanet29 is WHO are the few people telling you it's authentic? Have you posted somewhere else to ask? Are you the buyer? Are you the seller? Where did it come from?

Here's is the link where I asked but I don't know where the other sources are where those "few people" are.

And this is yet another reason why I don't recommend Poshmark and its sellers. Even when sellers are told items are authentic they leave their listings up. Even if they admit to either not knowing whether authentic or admitting it's fake, Poshmark does nothing in response to reports and even days after posters come here for FREE help, they continue to peddle fakes.

Thanks @houseof999 for pointing out the listing. Although I thought @Tanet29 was the seller of that bag "somewhere" and I found tanet29 on ebay, she didn't have the fake Coach bag listed.

Comment: I have been looking for one and this NWT caught my eye but so did the grooves under the prongs. What say you wise ones?
I'd love to see that tag, a tiny portion of which is shown in some pictures. Even if it's a tag for the same style, I doubt it's a 1997 tag.

Other opinions are welcome but I see big differences in the creed as compared to another from the same time and plant. I don't think the bag is authentic.

On a different note, is the 9097 creed from the auction on eBay for the Mahogany *dowel family* that is larger than the Willis?? I saw that yesterday and was going to to ask about it. I had seen a listing years ago and yesterday was the first I'd seen of the 9097 since I started looking online about six months ago. So you are saying the 9097 on the right is an authentic creed? I am passing up the action but would like to save it for future reference, in case another comes along. I have to do something else at the moment. I will come back later with all the info.

Good evening experts! I just realized that I forgot to get this little gal authenticated before I started cleaning her up ... sure hope I haven't wasted my time

Approximate dimensions are ... 6.75" H x 8" L x 3.5" D

As always thanks for your time and expertise!
