Hyacinth I took measurements and I found it... it's a 1990 drawstring fling from the lightweight collection. Thanks for your help.

That explains why I had trouble finding it. The 2 styles are very similar except for the strap attachment and the height. With no height measurement and with only one photo in my files that only showed the front I wasn't sure how the strap on the Sling was attached.

There were 3 Drawstring "cousins" in the Lightweight line that were introduced at the same time, and without measurements and the photos showing the important details it's really easy to get them confused, see the 1990 Holiday catalog thumbnail below.

Just checking if this is fake, Thank you in advance, experts!
Is made in Italy in 1997 but uses that floater H plant. Also has wrong zipper pull and lining looks off to me.

You're right. The 2 shades of stripes in the lining should both be the same width, The "H" plant code is the wrong size, the inside pocket zipper pull is wrong, the "No" in the serial prefix is wrong, and what's really a major red flag is that the font used for the Coach logo above the creed isn't using any of their trademarked fonts. Coach may sometimes change or screw up things like fabrics and even hardware, but their registered trademarks and fonts are sacred.

I just won this bag ( for a rehab project) but would appreciate if one of you would
authenticate it before I pay:

Many thanks in advance.

I don't know why the seller is calling it a Taylor. It looks like a genuine Companion Bag, style 9300 with the optional shorter and apparently non-adjustable, non-crossbody 36-inch strap and probably from around 1990-1993.

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

AUTHENTICATE This COACH
I'm not sure if I'm using this forum correctly. I just posted a few pictures of a bag that is being sold in a buy and sell group that I belong to on Facebook. The owner can't validate it's authenticity as it was a gift. I'll reattach the photos. Thanks

We need the information requested in the first post in this thread, the one you copied into both of your own posts - listing number, seller and link where the item is or was being sold, plus any comments. Thank you.

I THINK it might be OK, but if BeenBurned is available, I'd like for her to take a look at it since she's had more experience with those J3J- serial numbers than I. A lot of fakes with that prefix have been found in other Mini Signature styles from the same line although usually with different style numbers. And unfortunately there are also a lot of fakes sold through Facebook so it pays to be extra careful.

That bag is authentic. As long as the seller is showing her own pictures of the actual item, it's fine.

Found this beauty at GW yesterday. Leather is so soft. Please authenticate, thank you.
