Thank you ladies, those were my thoughts exactly. I have 11 of the little city bags in 10 colors and as soon as I saw that bag, it immediately looked 'off ' to me. I think this is the first fake one I've seen.

And we almost immediately found a second fake. I've seen a few that were questionable. Yesterday I saw a fake daypack key fob.
Do you have a picture of your 11? I'd love to see it.

Give me a few. I think I found another different and odd one.
I can't imagine that Coach's quality control would have let this go through with the "Coach" stamp upside-down on the back!!

Opinions?

Comment: which bag is this? Style#?
There are pictures of two different bags there. One is a convertible clutch and the other is a pocket purse. The first three pictures are of a convertible clutch. The rest, including the creed, are for the pocket purse, which is authentic. Some of the pictures came from this listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-BLACK...314826?hash=item3ad720330a:g:H8UAAOSw4GVYNRuz

Yep, that upside down Coach is a dead giveaway. And that looks like one of the key pouch styles that I just mentioned in another thread that I had only seen twice before. I want other colors in that key pouch, but will have to be very careful if I find them.

This further goes to show that the counterfeiters will fake anything. It doesn't matter how, small, insignificant or not-in-high demand something is. It's best to verify authenticity before buying.

this one looks too good to be true/genuine. Please advise whether it is. Many thanks. I so appreciate your gift of expertise and time.
Thank you, Hyacinth. The EBay salearea site has been inaccessible the few times I tried to access it but I will keep trying. As to the long posts, I am happy to read and learn. And as I am looking mainly at information on the older bags, that information would still be relevant . When I was in college in the early 60's, I couldn't afford those bags. Now that I can, the new Coach bags don't appeal to me. I like the wonderful thick soft leather of the older bags, along with their classic, simple, unpretentious, timeless lines.
