Genuine, probably a Slim Zip Bag style # 4018 from the Lightweight Collection and made in the early 1990s.

Thank you so much Hyacinth! It's a cute little booger.

Here is another I would like checked out please. I haven't been able to find much information on it:

Coach Bridle Top Handle
Made in Italy
I own
Serial Number E8E-6701 (Made in May 1998?)
Links:

Comments: This is a wowsa bag - very Princess Grace type, I think.. It's the pigskin and calfskin combo leather that I find odd. It has a shoulder strap that tucks into the purse. Oh, and the hardware is unique looking also. Might this be in any of you girls catalogs?

It looks authentic. I don't have a catalog picture of it. That appears to be the mahogany/brass combination. I have a wallet of this line that is burgundy or currant with silver hardware. I like the pigskin texture combined with the smooth leather. I imagine it didn't do very well since some people have an aversion or religious taboo to pigskin. Bags in this line don't come up very often but when they do, the leather is usually very scratched, which is why I've never gotten a bag to go with my wallet.

Scratches show up particularly magnified in the photos, but in real life it looks pretty good. I'm guessing the pigskin is the sides and it is a tough leather. It has larger pores and has zero scratches there. The other tender leather is baby butt smooth and soft!

Oh, I forgot to thank you Whateve!

You know I have sold two Italian ones and I think two Costa Rica girls this year and have regretted it. They seem to have a different texture to the leather. That's not my imagination is it?

You're welcome!

It might be your imagination. It depends on what bags they were. I've never had a classic bag made in Italy. I can't tell the difference between Costa Rican, US and Italian Sheridans. My classics made in the US are just as nice as their Costa Rican sisters.

The Madisons and Dakotas were only made in Italy.
