This is my first time asking a question so not sure I am doing this correctly. I purchased a purse on eBay and wondered if anyone can help me authenticate it
Here is the link to the bid that I won:

Thank you to the experts for any insight for me!!!!
Welcome to TPF! You did great for your first post, including requesting and posting the additional pictures that the seller didn't include in the listing.

The bag is authentic.

Hi there - I recently sold a Coach x Peanuts Snoopy crossbody (as shown in the attached photo) on The Bay and the buyer is claiming it isn't authentic because it was made in China and did not have a creed patch. I believe that those styles were made in China and had the small white tag with the style # on them, but I was wondering if they ever released the bags with an actual creed patch.

The buyer also said that it should come with a black Peanuts box, which I saw a few online, but my purchase didn't include a box either.

If this type of question should be posted in a different thread, please let me know. Or if I should post additional photos for an opinion on what I purchased (from a factory store in January), I would be happy to do so.

Thank you in advance!
Not all Peanuts items came with a box. Even if they made a special box, whether you got one depended on when and where you bought it. I don't recall if this style came with a special box.

In cases like this, you are allowed to post your listing. And seeing the listing and pictures makes it easier for all of us (you included) because you needn't post pictures unless the pics in the listing aren't adequate for authentication purposes.

I did find the listing and the bag looks fine. Everything shown in the listing is as it should be, including what I can see of the tag. If this bag has a label inside either in the lining or inside a pocket, that white tag would have production info but I'm not sure whether this bag has it.

Refer your buyer here if she has further questions.

Hi BB and whateve,
Thank you for the prompt responses and for looking over the listing. I did some research and saw that the crossbody version released at the boutiques in 2015 (black Peanuts character silhouette rather than the black or white character outline) had a creed patch and may have come with a box. I wrote to the buyer to let her know about the creed patch, but at this point, I just hope to get the crossbody back unscathed.

I did refer her to TPF when she asked questions about authenticity after her purchase (before shipping), but she indicated that she was comfortable with my answers at the time. However, it doesn't look like the listing was posted here.

Thank you again for your help! I truly appreciate your opinions. :hbeat:

All three are ok.

The only niggling little concern is the strap on the first one that looks like a City Bag. The buckle end seems a few inches too short in the photo for some reason. If you get it, take a close look and compare it to any other City Bags you have
Thank you. I will check the strap on the first bag. I thought it looked like a city bag, but something did not look exactly like a city bag. Must have been what you noticed in the strap. If this is a bag that has an altered strap, I will be slightly pissed off. I bought a red prairie bag and about 3 months later noticed the crossbody strap was shortened, probably by a cobbler, to a shoulder strap length. For a petite person. :annoyed:

I've gotten stuck with a few bags like that too, and noticed the problem too late to return them. It's a fairly common thing, unfortunately.

The one in your listing may be ok, it just doesn't make sense that someone who wanted to shorten the strap just a few inches would mess around with the buckle end instead of just adding a few more buckle holes to the longer end. But who knows? People do dumb things sometimes.

Hello all! I have a signature wristlet that I wanted to check with you ladies about... I know that some Coach items considered accessories don't have creed patches, but that reduces my confidence a bit. Also I turned the whole lining inside out and I didn't see a white tag, either. Just a rubbery translucent "Made in China" tag like what I've seen on Michael Kors bags... I trust your expertise!

ETA added a photo of the cartouche hang tags, there was nothing stamped on the dog leash clasp but I added a photo of it anyway.

Thanks again for you help! <3

Okay so I actually just bought/won this bag. I'm hoping it's real but if not it will be a learning experience for me! My first actual Coach purchase :). Was talking to a coworker about it and she said she had a very old Coach bag from the 80s she was given as a gift back then that she would give me, but she warned it was very scuffed. Not too worried about that since I've been combing the rehab thread in preparation for getting this lil lady.

It's a genuine Vista Bag from 1994. Good luck with your rehab!

Definitely fake. The inside zipper doesn't go all the way across, and there are no brass stops to the zipper. I think it says "solid brass" on the buckle. Coach would never use solid brass on a style that was supposed to be lightweight.
