  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Your pictures are VERY blurry and it's really hard to see any important details. But so far I've seen at least 2 - no, make that THREE - pieces of fake hardware never used on genuine Coaches, and a totally invalid serial number that tells me it's a Korean-made fake. There are other problems with it too.

Where did you get it and when did you buy it?

It seems okay.

For future requests, please see post #1 for the required posting format and information needed.

I wish they could ban her entirely. The amount of fakes she had was ridiculous.
It could be coming. I've seen cases where they initially remove the listings then after evaluation of the account, they ban the user.

However should that happen, be on the lookout for more IDs. suthrnatmosphere and helemun_0 have a lot of inventory to unload!

Please use the format requested in Post # 1 from now on. You quoted it in your first post but haven't followed it.
  • This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller:
    Link:
    Comments:
And as I already said, it's not authentic. But it WILL be reported to Ebay.

Seller of the fake
Vintage Coach Leatherware British Tan Brown Leather Purse Shoulder Crossbody Bag
is " islequeen "

BTW, if that was your own listing, which I'm guessing it was because it disappeared so quickly, you need to authenticate before you list. When we spot fakes here, we report them. (And forum rules don't allow you to link to your own auctions.)

Since most of those fake bags and wallets were to be drop-shipped from China, she probably won't get stuck with those. The seller doesn't pay anything up front before the item's actually bought and paid for by the final buyer, does she? I'm not really sure how that scam works.

But there's a ton of jewelry and religious tchotchkes and other stuff that she's been dragging around with her through all those other seemingly-closed selling accounts at other sites. Her most likely spot to resurface is iOffer - they deserve each other.

Lesson # 1 - don't sell fakes and you won't have to worry about getting suspended or banned. Some people never learn.

ETA - I have to admit though, there's something strangely twisted about this item in her inventory. I'd probably embroider the back with "... and if He isn't, my Ruger .357 is"

You aren't going to believe this!

suthrnatmosphere has relisted 38 of her fakes!

ETA: Never mind. It looks like they were removed. Or it was an ebay glitch that brought them up.

It's hard to believe that they would actually have her account flagged, or better yet have a living breathing human-like critter keeping an eye on it. But if she DID try to relist they should kick her arse off permanently. Remember back in the Dark Ages when they actually used to do that? Before Meg Whitman decided that all those new Chinese sellers were going to be Ebay's saviors?

Could someone please look at this listing and tell me what bag it is or trying to be? Im sure it will be impossible to authenticate since there is no creed photo, but the front turnlock is placed vertical which I know they did on a few bags like the Regina but it looks weird here. Also the inside shows a key ring and maybe a card slot but they both have unfinished edges which seems highly unlikely.... Or maybe this was how they did it back then...?
listing: Brown Vintage Coach Crossbody
seller: magginicholas-alexande-0

It looks like a bad copy of a Metropolis Flap #9022, but the shape of the turnlock seems slightly off, see the pic below. and the genuine one is also aligned the same way. You already noticed the raw un-dyed leather on the card pocket and keyfob, the genuine one would have more cleanly finished edges and they would have matched the rest of the leather, either dyed or edge-painted. The Metropolis Flap and Metropolis Zip are the only midsize handbags I can think of that had snap-out keyfobs. The shape and stamping on the hangtag is wrong and the 2 Cs on it are shaped slightly differently.

But the thing that would really worry me is that the proportions of the strap aren't correct. Look at the first and third photos, the end with the buckle is almost as long as the end with the buckle holes. That's COMPLETELY wrong for any genuine Coach unless the strap's been altered or wasn't made by Coach. I've never actually measured them but the buckle end of long straps should only be around 12 or so inches long, and I don't see any sign of any alterations. It could be hard to prove in a court of law but what I'm seeing indicates that it's fake.

Ah yes, and with the benefit of your interior shot I can see a few more discrepancies. On the real McCoy that pocket in front of the zippered pocket is sewn into two different pockets and also is made from a piece of leather stitched inside so that the edges show just inside of the side seams. In the ebay listing that piece of leather doesn't have that center vertical seam and it goes all the way tot he sides and is sewn ingot he side seam with out an exposed stitched edge. I'm sorry if that is a complicated way of explaining it but maybe you get what i'm seeing. Either way I think I'll pass. Thought it interesting that the seller has 0 feedback. Doesn't mean it's bad-- could just be a brand new seller to the ebay world.

Thanks (as always!)!!

Actually the fake does have that vertical seam but you have to look really closely to see it. And I get what you're saying about the width of the inside pocket.

1- I don't recognise the change purse at all. And although it looks as if something is stamped on one of the metal pieces holding the bow it's too small to read and it doesn't help that Goodwill stamped their watermark right over it. What little is even visible doesn't look like a Coach logo or name, the center letter should be an "a" and all I'm seeing in the photo is a vertical line. Maybe someone else will recognise it.

And whatever the "book" inside is, that couldn't be used to authenticate even if it's a genuine Coach insert. But a photo of it should have been included by Goodwill.

2 and 3- genuine, although #3 is a cosmetic case, not a wallet. It's probably from the early 2000s like the red Soft Legacy Small Backpack.
