It's a Savannah Hobo #4222 from the Sheridan line from 1992 or 93. Haven't you seen any Sheridans before?

I strongly recommend that you read the six Salearea Coach Guides:
http://www.ebay.com/gsr/i.html?uid="salearea"&rmvSB=true&rmvSB=true

this one in particular:

I have not actually seen one. I have only been collecting since about 2005 so many of the older ones i have no idea what they look like. Thanks to all the pictures you guys post here I am learning what the names are.

I do have all of the guides printed and have read them all several times. In fact the Italian one help me today to not bid on a bag (with out asking about it first).
Thanks:idea:

Why not just run a Search through the full Coach forums for "Sheridan"? It will give you a good idea what other styles came from that line. The Forum search here, once you figure out how it works and how to use it, is a very useful tool that can do a lot more than just showing comments and photos.

Even if you just search Google Images for Coach Sheridan and ignore the photos of the buff humans apparently named Sheridan on the page you'll get a good idea of what some of the Sheridan bags looked like.

I'd like to authenticate these 2 bags I purchased years ago second hand, a white Convertible Lunch Tote + a small black that measures 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 3". The black might be a Chester, any idea when it was made? Thanks

The bone-colored one is a genuine Lunch Box Zip.

The Chester Bag seems ok EXCEPT for the shape of the outside pocket. It looks like it's straight across when it should be slightly curved. I don't know if tucking the strap in has distorted the pocket but if you own that bag please take the strap out of the pocket and post a picture of the front without anything in the pocket. It's probably ok but I want to be sure. Thanks!

Hello!

Would anyone be so kind to authenticate this item for me?
Item: City British Tan circa 1990s
Seller: Keylimeyjen on Bonanza
Creed#: 0841-231
Link: http://www.bonanza.com/listings/Aut...tish-Tan-Made-in-the-USA-Beautiful-/321359880

Thank you so much!!

S.

The seller calls it a City Bag, but it's probably a Compartment Bag, #9850 seen here:

Catbird9 is absolutely right, I wasn't paying attention to the measurements.

And I recall that Cameochi once displayed her (extensive) collection of Sheridan bags on the "Post your vintage classic pieces here" thread. It provides a resource showing bags in the line and their names. Here's the link to the appropriate page:

Great suggestion! There are also some excellent pics of her Dakotas in 2 of the three posts right after that one too, which you can probably think of as "pre-Sheridans" since they were released one right after the other. Both lines are special favorites of mine.

Yes, the pocket does curve. Here's a picture with white paper in pocket to show the curve. It's harder to to see with black against black. Thank you for authenticating.
