The whole bag is the same no textured sides, so I imagine that the creed description of being made with polished calfskin is correct. I didn't know others were made using two different kinds of leather, interesting!

No textured sides? That's odd, because the others that I posted are the same style and have pigskin sides. It's remotely possible that Coach made a "safe" version of the style using just calfskin but it's the first one I've ever seen. Can we persuade you to post a photo or two showing one of the sides, the same kind of angle used for the 2 photos in my previous post but clearly showing the smooth side panels? I'm sure yours is genuine, but if another similar bag ever turns up and someone questions its authenticity because it doesn't have the pigskin panels, it might help to have photos of another one. Thanks!

ETA - I've been doing some digging, and apparently at least some of the Bridle styles could be had either way, with or without the pigskin trim. I've found the same variations and the same creed differences in 3 or 4 bags so far. Very clever of Coach, to "cover their arses" and make sure they didn't block out an entire group of potential buyers! I wonder how buyers were made aware that a Bridle style could also be found in a "kosher" or "halal" version? :graucho:

I wouldn't consider it "not authentic", the seller should just state that the original brass Lozenge zipper pull has been replaced with a newer charm.

Thanks Hyacinth!
Does the non-original zipper pull decrease the resale value or make it harder to sell?
Just wondering in case this comes up with a bag I'd like to buy.
(My DH is OK with me collecting Coach bags - as long as I'm able to resell the ones I don't use!)

It probably depends on how unusual the original zipper pull was, and the way the potential buyer feels about having a bag that's exactly right. All you can do is disclose it, show good clear photos, and see what happens.

Will this help for now? When I rehab it I could post better pictures, now it is not shaped right.IMG_1063.JPG IMG_1064.JPG

Perfect, thank you!

And did you notice my ETA in post 15961? Apparently they DID make 2 versions of some of the Bridles, including special creeds for the calfskin-only versions. Thanks for posting pics of your bag or we might never have noticed.

Yes I read you update, very clever and thoughtful of Coach, LOL.
I am very glad that I can humbly contribute to this forum, I will keep looking for unique bags  Have a great weekend!

Would y’all kindly authenticate this flap bag? Thank you! Caution, extreme verdigris ahead...

(Sorry, thought I posted this yesterday!)
Looks ok to me. It seems like the more verdigris those 65th Anniversary Legacy bags had, the more likely they are to be genuine. Green hardware was just a fact of life with them.

Would you please authenticate this Bleecker duffle (and tell me whether it’s duffLE or duffEL??)? Thank you twice in advance!

Item: Bleecker duffle
Listing #: m443115772
Seller: nfancy98

Comments: I can upload more pics if you need them; it's really a Whiskey IRL
It's fine. Coach calls it a duffle, the bag sailors carry is called a duffel. Whiskey is a Legacy color, not Bleecker. This is probably British Tan. There was also Putty and Rust.

Hi, I'm new to Coach and I love the bags. I have some in my possession but I hesitate about this one because of the damaged and slightly sloppy stitching in some places. Please kindly authenticate this one. Thankyou!

Item: Coach Mini Brooklyn Messenger

More pictures.. Sorry if it's too much I'm trying to capture every sides for better viewing. The stitching I pointed on the strap is the damaged one. And the other one is the sloppy stitching.
