I think the creed looks terrible. While usually a particular style is only made at one plant, seeing one made at another isn't proof in itself that it is fake, so being made in China doesn't make it fake, but there are other problems. Is this the same bag you asked about on June 17th? AUTHENTICATE This COACH *Read 1st Page BEFORE posting* Did you ever get an answer?
I don't know of any paid authentication services that are good for Coach. Hyacinth might know.

Yes it is the same bag, i did not get an answer. Thank you whateve. I'm trying to get more proofs that it's fake before I can talk to the seller. Thank you whateve.

The only authentication service that seems qualified to do Coach products is Authenticate4U. A few of the "big names" advertise themselves as Coach-capable but I've seen too many cases where they messed up what should have been an easy call on an obvious fake to recommend anyone else.

And while I don't authenticate newer styles, I have to agree - that stamped creed is a mess. Keep in mind that there are almost as many Coach fakes coming from and through the Philippines as there are from China. The run-together words in the last line "toenduring" is a major red flag no matter where the bag is supposed to have been made, and if I didn't know beforehand what the word "attention" was supposed to be, there's no way I could have even guessed what it actually was just from that stamp.

Good Morning & Happy Friday!
This came up in one of my searches, bag looks OK except that the original Coach zipper pull has been replaced.
Is the bag considered not authentic when that happens? If still considered authentic, how can I best address it to protect potential buyers? The seller doesn’t mention the replacement.
(FYI, I’m not interested in buying this one - was shopping for another color.)
TIA!

I know my creed knowledge is spotty at best....but can someone take a look at this....

http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Vintage-Coach-Black-Leather-Crossbody-Bag-Purse-31459183.html

I've never seen a vintage serial with that kind of mistake in the spacing before. It could just be a legitimate mistake though, and the other photos are really poor quality and aren't any help. The Made In USA on the creed is most common in Lightweight styles but the strap doesn't look like a Coach strap and looks like it has rivets at the ends , the strap D-rings look flimsy and too big for the strap, and there's what looks like a seam coming apart on one side near the bottom. I'm not even sure what style it's supposed to be. And why isn't there any kind of buckle adjustment for the strap?

I can't say for sure that it's fake but there's no way I'd be comfortable buying it without much better photos including that damaged seam, the strap attachments, and the top zipper pull. That bag looks like trouble waiting to happen.

ETA - the style looks like a 4075 Bucket Bag from the Lightweight line but the strap has been butchered or replaced along with the rings holding it which look like rectangular O-rings in Coach's photos but which the side view photo clearly shows are D rings on this one. The Bucket Bag also had an adjustable strap and this one doesn't. Even the position of the leather loops holding the strap on doesn't match Coach's photos. Here are 34075_Bucket Bag-enlarged-a.jpg 4075 - Lightweights Bucket Bag.jpg 4075_Bucket Bag-enlarged-b.jpg enlargements of 4075 catalog and owner4075_Bucket Bag-enlarged-a.jpg 4075 - Lightweights Bucket Bag.jpg photos:

ETA - sorry about the duplicate photos, I'm not going to try and guess which ones can be removed or I'll really mess things up.

In my possession.
Item: Coach Bridle something...?
Size: About 9" at the bottom x 8" x 3".
Comments: I doubted at first because I had never seen a closure like that before, it looks OK to me but you are the experts.

I wouldn't consider it "not authentic", the seller should just state that the original brass Lozenge zipper pull has been replaced with a newer charm.

Thank you for your fast reply. If I may... as there is no hang tag and I would like to rehab it to be as close as possible as it was, this style had a matching leather one or metal one?

I don't remember. I'm seeing both in pictures from sellers, and the catalogs didn't even show hangtags in the Bridle photos except for one bag with a metal one

BTW, you didn't show photos of the sides of the bag, and the creed in yours is different from other creeds I've found in that same style. The other creeds and the ones for most of the Bridle line state the bags are made from calfskin and Pigskin. I'm not sure why yours is different, but the sides of that style should have a highly textured 6701_Bridle Top Handle.jpg 6701_Bridle Top Handle-d.jpg 6701_Bridle Top Handle-creed.jpg look to them because they're pigskin, see the pics below. If you sell it and it has pigskin panels without that being disclosed on the creed it could lead to problems with buyers whose religions or cultures don't allow any kind of contact with pigs, so it's important to keep that in mind.

The whole bag is the same no textured sides, so I imagine that the creed description of being made with polished calfskin is correct. I didn't know others were made using two different kinds of leather, interesting!
