I got a reponse from the seller insisting the Burberry scarf is real because he bought it from a Burberry store in NY for his mother.

I am not familiar with the Burberry sizes and styles. But the scarf looks fake to me because I searched online and could not find any scarf/shawl that the following attributes: 1) 29 in wide and 74 inches long, 2) tessels knotted at the end, 3) the name tag only says "Burberry" and "London", no material fabrication. Have you seen any Burberry scarf that has these 3 attributes? Could it actually be authentic as claimed by the seller?

The scarf is fake, I am 100% positive. All we do is look at Burberry. The seller - what do you think s/he would say?
I would go through paypal, open a dispute, escalate it to a claim and you will get a refund. Say it is "item not as described" save yourself the hassle of fighting over it.

Nice find. Genuine. Not that old, but older. Could be ten years old.
