saviera - Here's a close-up of the Knot that I originally wanted but had to pass on. The snakes used include Karung, Shiny Python and Ayers. The colors include Nero, Bottle (green), Billiard (green), China (blue), some Scarabeo/Pyrite (the light, greenish/beetle-ish color) and Flannel (grey).
Flash or no flash, it looks much lighter in pictures (especially on the BV catalog and website) but it is much darker IRL. Some people may like it dark, but I wanted to see the blues & greens stand out more which it didn't on the 3 Knots I saw IRL (1 in SF, 1 in HK, 1 in Malaysia). Plus those Flannel squares are much darker too though they appear silvery in this picture.
Someone at this forum previously expressed concern how the individual squares may start to curl over time but IMO, I don't think it's the case. Apart from the marcapunto stitching that holds it together, each piece is "glued" on the body of the knot. If at all, the Mosaico pattern they used on some limited F/W 2009 Venetas are more susceptible to curling but not this.
It is lovely but not for my first Knot. Plus, I'm a recent convert to the stretch knot so this does not fit the bill for me.
