Authenticate This BOTTEGA VENETA

Good morning!
I would greatly appreciate some authenticating this vintage bag. The bag is in my possession - purchased from a thrift shop. The leather lining gives me a late 70s vibe.
Some specifics:
- embossed red leather
- black leather lining
- black satin inner pocket
- Talon Zipper
- W 12” H 9” D 5”
- 21” drop

This is, indeed, authentic 'vintage'. At one point there would have been a label sewn into the zippered pocket but it was too close to the zipper and most didn't survive. This is actually not leather, but embossed coated canvas that was known as 'marco polo'. Enjoy your vintage find!

Interesting about the leather vs. coated canvas. I had read that in another post as well. But it really seems like leather? There is wear on the corners like leather and the observable edges on the interior trim and seam seem like leather. I guess I need a close look.

The lining is leather, so that may be where you're seeing - they were bonded together when made.

Hello! I'd really appreciate help on this medium veneta hobo bought from therealreal. After I received it, a few things seemed off-the leather felt somewhat plastic-y, the lining of the bag appears to be microfiber rather than suede, additionally in some of the leather strips by the handle, there is a glued on black fabric backing that is sticking out of the weave. I wasn't sure if they normally do this for reinforcement, but it also appears sloppy (see below). The label is also several glued layers instead of one layer, I don't know if that's normal.

It’s authentic - I note that the black is only in a small area of the handle; it could be discoloration from use. Likewise the embossed leather heat stamp plaque is a solid piece of leather that’s in an area that’s prone to a lot of movement; it looks fine to me. The lining appears to be suede; the zippered pocket could be lined with a canvas-like material, but appears to be also suede.
Thank you very much! The black is actually a layer of fabric glued to the underside of the leather strip, you can also see the edges of the fabric in between the weave. I’ve also attached a picture of the several layers of the tag-seen from the side. Thank you again for your time and help!!
