You're right - I even have a hard time telling, chiaoapple, but I think the pics are real and then they send a fake, like with what happened to Bookermoose. This seems to be happening more and more- crooks are also lazy so they'll use the studio pics from their source on iOffer- if they take new pics it usually exposes the bag as an obvious fake. It's always a good idea to check out iOffer. I recall scrolling thru over 10 pages of fakes before finally coming across the same pics used to sell bm's fiasco bag.

Yes, with my fiasco-bag (and I believe this Sloane), the pictures were of an authentic
BV - which was most definitely not the bag I then received... Thanks to blugenie's detective work the same pictures were discovered on a couple of iOffer listings. I've also seen the same pictures from my fiasco-bag used a couple more times on different eBay listings (which were pulled after they were reported) and elsewhere on the net since. Really the only way to know they are not pictures of the crappy bag you are getting is to recognize the actual pictures (which is why checking iOffer is a good idea), or I've since come across the tip of asking the Seller to take some specific picture that they wouldn't be able to do if they only have stock pictures - like a picture in natural light, or a closeup picture of some specific detail, that sort of thing... And of course posting here is a good idea, since if the pictures are familiar someone may well remember, like with the Sloane.

One of the fabulous experts will have to verify for sure, but I think Fashionphile is on the list of good ebay or internet sellers. they are in beverly hills, and mostly deal in Vuitton - that may be where I first read about them. I asked them for the reserve on either this bag or one similar a few weeks ago - I think it was close to the BIN price.

Authentic. I believe we're allowed to disclose when a question comes up, not promote. This is my bag from the Chicago BV boutique that I consigned to Fashionphile to sell for me

Ok, if we're allowed to disclose our auctions, not promote - it's my oceano wallet that's mentioned above. It's authentic, purchased from Diabro, and probably an equal bargain with the Hawaii sale, given tax and shipping costs. :-)

BIN is buy it now. if you go to www.live.com and do a search you should see a special shaded section which says live cash back. i have done it several times, doesn't always show up so just keep trying. it also has started to show up on advertising in ebay. here is the link detailing how it works. http://forum.purseblog.com/bottega-veneta/ebay-live-com-deal-anyone-use-315370.html

you need to use the BIN function within 60 minutes of initiating your search and you will need to sign up for a live account to get the cash back.

there is also an ebay code for 10% off on the deals and steals page that some people have been able to use. good until june 30. i think your ebay and your paypal account have to be from the same email. i haven't used this yet so don't know.

by my calculations you could get $400 off of the campana - which seems pretty good to me!
