My apologies, here are my photos:

In the last photo (BV1), does EPEV 2007 mean that this was produced in 2007? Seller could not produce photos of zipper, she explained that the photos are blurry. What details should i look out for in the zipper?

Many thanks for authenticating this, and I hope i got the format right this time! :)

The bag looks good to me. We look for the stamped brand name on the exterior zipper plate (I don't know what to call it). It's different depending on how old the BV is.

Our standard format for authentication questions is:

Item: (brown large Veneta)
Listing number: (if it's from eBay, it has a listing number; if it's from someplace else, it may not)
Seller name or ID: (boxermom's boutique or whoever; I actually don't sell on ebay)
Working link: (the link that will show us the photos and listing)
Comments: (if you have any special concerns, such as the seller calls it a medium but it looks like a large; or the color appears different from what the seller says it is)

Look at most of the other posts for an idea of how we usually do it. You'll probably get a faster answer with the standard format. Hope this helps.

Hi I'm new here, could someone please authenticate this?

Item Name: Bottega Veneta Marco Polo Black Woven Tote Handbag
Listing number: 220800414295
Seller name or ID: edropoff
Working Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220800414295&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Comments: Also is it treated leather or some kind of polyster/composite material? Thanks.

This is authentic. The Marco Polo line isn't woven leather--I don't know why the seller (one of those big ebay consignment companies) says that. It's my understanding that it's a PVC type material, not leather. It wears very well and has been popular for BV for many years. Maybe some other members who own something from the MP collection can comment more for you.

hi! can you help me to authenticate this lovely bag pls?
thanks a bunch!

Item Name: Bottega Veneta Medium Veneta
Item number: 220803025967
Seller name or ID: dman-bug
Working Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220803025967
Comments: Am wondering if there is a difference in the interior for the large and medium size? Saw another large truffle with a purple suede interior but this bag isnt. Strange.

This bag looks authentic to me. The purple interior was done for seasonal colors one Fall/Winter season, I think it was 2009/2010. Large and medium should be similar linings. I have this color in a large Veneta and it was the season before they did the purple lining, so I missed out too! It's a great color, though.

Thanks boxermom! i totally feel in love with BV after my very first bottle green medium veneta. The leather is just so scrumptious. TDF!

Is this toffee color close to the discontinued noce?

Thanks!

In the future please use the format described in post #1 of this thread. This bag looks genuine to me.

Thanks Boxermom!

Seller does not have receipt, authenticity cards and mirror. Essentially there's no documents to support authenticity.. Should I be concerned?

Truffle isn't like Noce, IMO. It's a brown that will show a purple cast in some light--Once in awhile, I'll notice that, but it's not a Noce-type brown. It's hard to describe.

I'm still not comfortable with the appearance of this bag.

Could other authenticators check this, please?--maybe you will have a different opinion from mine--thanks!!

No, don't be concened. Mirrors often get separated from bags. The cards that come with the bags are fairly useless and can be copied by anyone. I save my receipts but many people don't. Also, there are places where fakers will create false receipts, so that's not a foolproof method to ensure authenticity. We rely on the look of the bag and the details, such as the sewn-in white tag and other parts of the bag.
