Hi and welcome to Purse Forum and BV! If you have any future questions about authenticity, read Post #1 in this thread for the best way to format the question.

This is an authentic Belly Veneta. I'm out of town and don't have my catalogs info list with me, but I believe it's from 2010. The color looks like Empire, but without my list, I'm not certain.

I don't like to offer opinions on price--what is a good deal for one person is too much for another. If you want to compare to current retail, go to www.bottegaveneta.com and check on collections, then handbags to find the official details.

Thanks very much for your response. Yes, I think this is color from 2010, I have a card case in that color, love it!

It's funny that you mention the leather was paper thin. I went to a BV boutique and tried on an opera crossbody bag sometime last fall and the leather that they used was also paper thin. The SA said it was because it was a larger bag and the thinness of the leather was to make it more lightweight and wearable. Before that bag, I would have totally agreed with you. Now, I'm back to being a newbie. :graucho:

oh dear.....when we thought we know everything...we dont!!
however the paper thing bag i saw was a regular veneta so it "didnt feel right" but i must be careful! u never know!

Authentic medium Veneta. It's the dusty gold color from 2005, I think. Not the Ottone that was the most recent gold.

Thanks Boxermom (and happy mothers day!)... Last question- is there any reason why completeing the sale through Ebay Singapore would be different and therefore more risky than doing it via eBay USA? Thanks!

I have no idea. Maybe one of our members from Singapore can comment on that. I would think that ebay poilicies are the same, but I don't know.

Hello ladies can you tell me if this is authentic please? Also can you tell me what the leather is? The woven bits look sort of creased and not sure what it is. I wish I understood the codes.....
I am adding a few extra pics the seller has kindly emailed me also.
TIA

It looks genuine to me. The body of the bag is Nappa, and the trim looks like Croc or some other exotic. If I had time, I'd go through my catalogs to see if I could find this exact style. If I have time later, I'll post with an answer. In the meantime, maybe someone with knowledge of exotics (I'm not) will know what it is.
