Would it be possible to post clear, more close-up photos of the stamp/font and the tag? They are a little bit blurry. Also a photo of the back side of the zipper pull where the brand name is stamped (zipper that closes the bag) is one we usually like to see.

Boxermom, I have tried to make my pics clearer. If they are still not good enough please let me know and I will ask DH for his camera and try again. Thanks

It looks like there is a patch of white fabric in the pocket? Maybe a small repair. The tag and font look fine. I believe your bag is genuine. I have a hard time with the fine detail photos too, so I hated to ask you to re-take them. Thanks for doing it; your bag looks really good.

Boxermom, you are clearly more observant than me. I went and had a look in the pocket. It is not a repair but just where the pocket is attached into the lining. I hope this is normal. Thanks again.

The tag and font look right; otherwise there are so many little variations. I think it's authentic. Was this possibly from a shop where it may have been previously owned but little used and someone made a small repair? Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. The main details look good outside and inside. I've had bags bought at BV stores that have little oddities.

Boxermom, It is from T K Maxx which is the UK version of TJ Maxx. I wonder if anyone else has the same bag to compare. I think it is qute rare. The lining is that kind of suedey look but feels harder than on my other BV. I am assuming it softens with use. Overall it feels sumptuous and soft and that is a good sign. Thanks for your help.

I worded my answer terribly. When I said there are many variations I should have said from BV bag to bag; I didn't mean there are many details in your bag that are different from the usual BV. Handmade bags are bound to all be slightly different depending on the artisan who fabricates each one. My guess is that T K Maxx has some bags from BV that aren't sold in the regular boutiques. It happens frequently with non-BV stores. And yes, it will soften with time. If it feels the way you describe, it sounds good. The most important things we look for on the bags are correct on yours. Enjoy it!
