Hi, not sure if it has a style name - I've always called it a bucket bag. It's an authentic BV made for outlet bag and a fabulous style - I love carrying this style partial woven bag with its fat shoulder strap :smile1: It's very comfy and attractive.

P.S. In the future, we really would like to see where the Bottega Veneta is embossed in the leather and the other side of the authenticity tag. I know of this bag, so I feel comfortable saying it's authentic in my opinion, but it's best if we get the pictures requested in Post 1 of this thread in the future. The more pictures, the better. ;) You may also want to see a picture of the interior for your own knowledge.

These are the type of bags I covet--the mint condition vintage BV's. They feel like silk. Price is reasonable. I'll confess to paying more for a bag of this vintage that I really wanted, about $100 more.

Thanks for the info, Miss_FancyBags! No doubt the bag is amazing! This is definitely something I'm considering purchasing... (been thinking of a mini cabat as my next BV bag :D) but... the price is in-line with what I can purchase at a BV store, (even though it says new on ebay). Without any experience buying anything from ebay, risking what's involved with high ticketed items such as this... I think I'd wait till fall where I'm going to Asia. (HK, Taiwan, China) and begin my search there to see what's left in inventory. :smile1:

What worries me is that there is a loose thread that hangs on the bag.(It is like extra thread that was not sewn) I would like to post the picture but I do not know how. Also there is no stamp on the back of the zipper pull of the compartment but the main zipper has riri6 stamp on it. Can you please help me! Thank you

Your bag is authentic--this is how the zipper markings currently are, so no problem with no stamp on the inside zipper pull. As for the thread, if I were you I would try to see if it's integral to the bag's construction, and if not, snip it off. You could also contact the seller and if she has another like this one, she might be willing to exchange for you. I've bought from Erica/****** and never had a problem.

Ok. Thank you boxermom. I just could not sleep last night thinking that bottega should have the most stringent quality control and yet this passed? I already wrote to her and I am waiting for her response.

Hi, Zoe610 - you would hope that's the case, but several years I bought a brand new bag from the boutique and noticed the suede lining was coming apart near the top of the bag. It was a small flaw but could have turned into something larger with use. BV was great and sent a new replacement without question and immediately.

That is one reason why l love buying directly from the boutiques. Fantastic customer service. ;)
