Hi there, and welcome to tPF. We are a volunteer service and as such only authenticate for buyers. There are, I believe, for pay authentication services you can use. Sometimes the other volunteers give you a pass on the first request. Given the details you provided and lack of provenance (per Ms FB's request) I personally cannot say anything about this bag - which again does not reflect on its authenticity, but the style is older, and I am not good with the older bags.

I appreciate the help - I have also posted in the thread dedicated to helping recognize what the name and year of the BV bags are. I guess, I wasnt looking to so much authenticate the bag, but to find out more about it. If anyone knows anything about this bag or the year, I would appreciate any information.

This bag looks good, but the seller didn't include a photo of the font. We always want to see the font on bags (really, any designer bag seller needs to include that photo).

The color is Opera, a Fall/Winter 2010/2011 color. It's even prettier IRL. There are probably some photos of Opera in our BV color reference section or you could check the BV website (www.bottegaveneta.com) to see other photos of Opera.

The first bag looks authentic, but from the details I don't believe it's brand new. Details from the photos would make it about 6-8 yrs. old. Also, the seller is inflating the retail price of this. The dimensions make it a medium size Veneta which retails for $1580, not $2150. Even the large size Veneta sells for less than that ($1980). This makes me question the seller a lot.

The second bag is authentic vintage, though not all that old, maybe 9-12 yrs old.
