Elila - this thread is for authentication really. if you did a little research on BV auctions you could judge for yourself on price. personally i think the current price is decent for a bag in this condition... and i would imagine the pix with flash look worse than the actual bag. these bags are very soft and wonderful and great size.

i think it makes a lovely starter or throwaround bag that you would not have to baby.

Buyer of this bag claims this is a counterfeit do to the fact that it does not have a paper label,I had it checked out and was told that it was authentic prior to the listing also I was told that the zipper pulls are correct,and that fabric/ribbon bags did not that the paperlike labels inside but rather a card.I would just like a confirmation if the bag is authentic or indeed a counterfeit.I am accepting the bag back.

Hi dear doloresmia and experts, you have helped me to authenticate the following BOTTEGA VENETA bag, and I won it. Just got it today, and took some pictures. Could you please double check the authenticity for me, again? The color (or paint) on hardware rings that connect between the handle and the body of the bag is kind of fall off (fade out). I took a picture of it to show you as well. I think it is from the normal wear, and I am fine with it. What do you think of the color (fall off) of the hardware rings? Overall, I like the purse. It is very light weight. Thank you very much. :smile1:

It's a nice noce authentic BV! I've seen similiar wear on the rings of other BV bags. I don't know how to prevent it and think it's a manufacturing / design issue that many of these bags have. You may want to ask the BV repair shop in NYC for their opinion. Congratulations on a pretty BV! :smile1:

ITA with Miss_FB - the nice thing is you got it for a fabulous price, so if you spend a little money to spruce her up.... or decide to just use her as is.... still lovely! Noce is such a warm wonderful color.

I have a bag very similar to this one, only the weaving is horizontal around the top. Otherwise it's the same, braided handle and all. Braided handle is my favorite detail--love them!

I too noticed the rings doing what you mentioned. It didn't bother me that much--others wouldn't notice unless they inspect the bag rather closely. It is a slight flaw in BV's metal rings or this coating, however.

Lovely authentic tote!
