so Is there no tag in some model ?
Thanks so much, boxermom:D

Some small items don't have them. This may be one of them. Everything about this bag and chain look genuine BV to me. I had a small cosmetic case from BV where the tag was sewn so deeply into the seam you could barely find it, much less read it or take a photo of it, so sometimes we can authenticate (give our best opinion) without the usual requirements.

Item Name: BOTTEGA VENETA purple weave handbag - beautiful color

Comments: TIA!

I see no warning signs so far though pictures of the back portion of the white authenticity tag as well as the "Bottega Veneta" stamp in the interior will help make it easier to ascertain. (Details of all these needed pictures are on the very 1st post on this thread)

Hi, I know this auction ended alreay, but I want to know if this is authentic, I've never seen this type of leather used on the long clutch, and the metal that I am familiar with on black clutchs appears to be pewter? thanks so much!

We'll have to wait for stretch knot experts. I have question or two on it but that doesn't mean it's not authentic. This is one I'd want to see guaranteed original paperwork on and to hold it in my hands. :smile1:

I bought it:D and just got it toay, there are no authenticity tags anywhere, only the Bottega Veneta, made in Italy printed inside. Now I am worried. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

agent_stealth and Miss_FancyBags, I have a couple questions myself. I have a long Knot but it's not leather, so I can't compare. Hopefully those who have more experience with them will comment.

Is the lining smooth leather? It looks like it.

I have a Stretch Knot in a different material. For what it's worth, I think the ebay Knot is questionable. I can't pinpoint why I feel this way based on the ebay photos. It's just my hunch based on what I know.

Thanks Miss_FancyBags, boxermom and blueiris for all your input. Boxermom, do you have more than one knot? I have a smaller sized, satin know, and as I am comparing the "knot" on the top of the clutch, they look slightly different and different in size. If you have more two clutches, can you please compare the two and let me know if they are the same size? I will try to take pictures and post them. If there are no authenticity tags, how else will I know it's authentic? thanks!

I am really worried now since a few of you tpfers have doubts.

I only have the one elongated Knot, so I can't compare and I don't live near BV store, unfortunately. I hope that someone has seen a leather Knot like this one and can comment with some authority. A *feeling* isn't enough for any type of judgment. How distressing for you to be wondering. Seller's past sold items are private so we can't even check for a history of authentic items.

That's a good question, agent_stealth. A current, well known or classic knot is easier to determine authenticity on than one that is possibly vintage or a good replica that we haven't seen before. I wish I had a definitive answer for you.
