yes, i do intend to sell this bag. can you direct me to a professional authentication site for this bottega? thanks

The first post in this thread shows the format we like to use. If you already own the bag, in the place for seller's name, perhaps you could insert where you obtained the bag (another seller, consignment shop, eBay, etc.). Item number is for the eBay items usually and doesn't apply here.

Purse Forum is considered one of the best, most reliable authentication resources in the field. It's been mentioned in magazines and is often referred to in the eBay accessories discussion boards. Our opinions come from experience and if we don't know we acknowledge that.

Can someone help me with this: I bought an older veneta lately and the certifico tag numbers are partially sewed into the fabric pocket, it is attached in the same place as the other newer venetas but the tag in the newer venetas have 2 rows of numbers shown (not sewed into the suede pocket). Is this normal?

The BV's have had 2 rows of code for the last few years; prior to then it was one row. I had a cosmetic case that had the tag sewn too far into the seam to read the code--I could only see the very top of the numbers and letters. But it came from a BV store so it was genuine. Another time I saw a real SLG (small leather good) with the leather patch with the font sewn into the bag upside down! These are handmade and these oddities confirm that.

Maybe I didn't understand the question. Can you post a photo?

Where did you get it? If you check the first post on the thread, there is a standard format that is to be followed when asking for authentications, to give seller information and the photos typically required.

That said, I've looked at your photos. I'm not one of the usual authenticators here, but I own this bag in a different color. There are several things that strongly suggest to me that the bag in the photos is not authentic BV. I'll let the others weigh in with their thoughts, too.

I agree...I'd like to see pictures of the authenticity tag and the inside bottom of the bag and the inside of the attached case and all hardware. Does it have ties on the sides?? Where did you buy it?

Also, I noticed at least one other bag in your photo bucket that's not authentic....

Exactly right, jburgh. I'm sorry for implying that there is anything official about what we do here. We give personal opinions. My apologies for making extra work for you. You already work hard enough!
